I was raised Catholic and fell away from it and experimented with different philosophies and theologies, and recently came back to Christ, though I still withhold myself from Catholic doctrine. But man, Bishop Sheen really is making me reconsider my faith as a Catholic... He just makes it so clear to me....

Can’t tell you the cold chills I got when he talked about 10-15 years the guilt and mental issues that will Hit women in regards to abortion. So true and yet we still see women standing out there saying “my body, my choice” so sickening that murder is okay in the body just not outside of the body to those people. Praying for women who experience the guilt, pain and sadness.
You must be mentally strong to aid in your decision to keep an unborn baby alive. Many of those women who choose to abort a baby is because of distress mentally and emotionally. They can’t think straight, that’s why it is so important to pray and ask for help when you can. We need to lift each other up as Catholics because we are broken due to this broken world....but can only prevail with inviting Jesus into our lives. Every day we need to gain strength in our minds , if not.....we are fighting a losing battle. Mother Mary pls help the mentally weak and protect all the moms out there that need prayers.
A pro-choice man admitted several years ago that the shear number of 60 million abortions in America alone was something to make one pause, but that the participants won’t stop abortion because they won’t want to admit to any guilt of doing something wrong, i.e., murder.

I went to confession today for the first time in 4 years. I heard the story of Fulton Sheen where he pushed a woman into the confessional 🤣 I had prayed he would do that with me and today he sure did. Christ alone makes the decision who can be saved. Confession is a wonderful sacrament in the Catholic Church - a Church that was found by Christ and it is Biblical. Everything we believe in can be found in the Bible.
Yeah but Christ is not a liar, and since he said "and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out" , he of his own free will made it so he really, in a *way* ( By his own grace letting it be so ) , removing his preferences, SO LONG AS the believer comes in a *Biblical* state of repentance. IDK If you weren't aware, we recite this very thing you are saying in the nicene creed. Christ died and rose from the dead on the third day and is seated at the right hand of God The Father Almighty. I just had my confession and I cried while I was confessing my sins. After that, it was as if I have lost my burden. I feel so free from my sins as if I was freed from being a slave to particular sin. Confession is indeed a gift from God.

But Venerable Sheen would not disagree with you on these points. I would think he would ask you to explain why Jesus (in Holy Scripture) gave his disciples the power to forgive sins? And how could they forgive sins if no one confessed them?
Easy, I would answer that loaded question with the simple question : Why are Christians that are given that power to forgive going to some special priest class for forgiveness when that gift of forgiving sins in the context of what it actually is is given to ALL Christians according to Paul and Jesus ? It is a confessing of sins on the part of SAVED Christians to the LOST world. Nothing else according to each given context of that job.

I went to confession today for the first time in 4 years. I heard the story of Fulton Sheen where he pushed a woman into the confessional 🤣 I had prayed he would do that with me and today he sure did. Has Paul stated here that you can manifest the works of the flesh and still be acceptable before God? So which works are you indicating that you cannot be saved by? You are not saved if the flesh manifests these sins.
If the works you speak of is not sufficient for salvation, then these works are sufficient for eternal death.
Earlier Paul says in the same chapter 13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
So you have been made free from the law, yet in your freedom you should not sin, otherwise Christ is made of no effect.
What must you say of this?
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
WHO crucifies the flesh? The believer or Christ? Paul says that the BELIEVER crucifies the flesh. Therefore, working out your own soul salvation requires that you crucify your flesh.
If you have been made free from the law and now are in grace, then by what faith is the redemption of your flesh? Are you a sinner made free and not punished while the works of the flesh are manifest, or are you a believer who has crucified the flesh because you are free?
Work it out, the flesh and spirit remain contrary to each other. So if you must walk in the spirit, then you cannot walk in the flesh. These things you do are contrary to saving grace.
You are not saved by works of righteousness, because the flesh cannot be righteous. But when you have been made free, then you crucify your flesh. If you receive Christ's righteousness, then you should not manifest the works of the flesh. If you do manifest the works of the flesh, then it is not crucified, therefore you are walking contrary to the righteousness of God.

Christ alone makes the decision who can be saved. Confession is a wonderful sacrament in the Catholic Church - a Church that was found by Christ and it is Biblical. Everything we believe in can be found in the Bible.
Yeah but Christ is not a liar, and since he said "and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out" , he of his own free will made it so he really, in a *way* ( By his own grace letting it be so ) , removing his preferences, SO LONG AS the believer comes in a *Biblical* state of repentance. IDK If you weren't aware, we recite this very thing you are saying in the nicene creed. Christ died and rose from the dead on the third day and is seated at the right hand of God The Father Almighty. This is a tenant of what Christians believed from the gate, however, it was affirmed in the councils. In other words, it was the Catholic Church that revealed this truth that you are aware of.

I just had my confession and I cried while I was confessing my sins. After that, it was as if I have lost my burden. I feel so free from my sins as if I was freed from being a slave to particular sin. Confession is indeed a gift from God.

But Venerable Sheen would not disagree with you on these points. I would think he would ask you to explain why Jesus (in Holy Scripture) gave his disciples the power to forgive sins? And how could they forgive sins if no one confessed them?
Easy, I would answer that loaded question with the simple question : Why are Christians that are given that power to forgive going to some special priest class for forgiveness when that gift of forgiving sins in the context of what it actually is is given to ALL Christians according to Paul and Jesus ? It is a confessing of sins on the part of SAVED Christians to the LOST world. Nothing else according to each given context of that job.
The apostles forgived sins, this has been passed on through apostolic succession.
Actually, it has been "passed" down to ALL Christians. Its not forgiveness of sins LEGALLY, neither is it a special gift.
