    Great video, and awesome information. I was that person at Hatsfield and McCoy’s three years ago and had a tire blew out. So we had to drive back to the house we where staying at and grab a spare. A total of 3.5 hours wasted. So I now carry a spare tire 😂

    I have the tusk terrabites 30x10x14. To rotate the tires do you go from left front to right rear is that correct way

    • @FishersOffRoad
      @FishersOffRoad  2 года назад +1

      You can do that, sometimes I also just move rear to front and front to rear in the same side depending on tread wear.

    great video. Is there much of a down side to running a square tire set up in 9" instead of the 10" I have the 9" and really don" want to spend the money to go 10" this is on 14" wheels

    My question is, I have a 2022 Can am Commander with 14x7 fronts and 14x8.5 rears. I recently bought 30x10x14 tires to put on the factory wheels. Can I do this with the rears being a little wider? I’ve been told it’s no problem, but then I’ve read that it affects the overall height of the rear tire being shorter than the fronts. I also read it could damage the 4wd because of the tires being slightly different when engaged. Should I just buy aftermarket rims the same width? Thanks

    • @FishersOffRoad

      I like to run the same size wheel all the way around so I have one spare and I can rotate them. We have run the set up like you’re talking about on our rentals and never had any problems.

    I haven’t seen you talk about the handling of the RMax LE. I learn a lot from your videos and I wanted to know what shocks would you use on your LE if you had to change them out

    • @FishersOffRoad
      @FishersOffRoad  Год назад +1

      The RMAX handles extremely well, the iqs suspension yamaha paired with the unit works great. You can adjust on the fly for every terrain & speed situation. I think I would look at Fox or Elka if I was going to look at another shock option.

    I have a 21 can am outlander 1000 max xt that we do quite a bit of riding on rural roads as well as trails, rocks and occasional mud in that order. Really on the fence of all the tire options. Still has the factory ITP Terra Cross, have been happy with them but considered going up a size which is not offered with those. Looked at the Mudlite XTR and tons of others but dont wan them to wear so quickly being that we do a fair amount of hard surface riding. Even considered these Sedona Ridge Saw but I know thats unconventional for an ATV. Any suggestions? Southern IL here.
    Thanks for the great channel and vids over the years.

      We do a lot of the same type of riding here in middle TN. I love the Ridge Saw! That tire performs excellent in all of the conditions you listed. I’m currently running them on my Defender Limited and love them!!! The Ridge Saw is a good tire too, but too noisy on the road for my taste.

      @@FishersOffRoad Thanks for your time and advice! Another quick question. This Outlander Max Xt 1000 has an 8.5" rim on the rear and a 6.5" on the front. I'm not sure what the factory offset is, I have the service manual but cant seem to locate that info but probably doesn't matter if I want to run a square setup, correct? Would you recommend replacement 14x7 rims so I can use the same size tire efficiently?

    • @FishersOffRoad
      @FishersOffRoad  Год назад +1

      @@Letsroll000 You can run a 14X7 wheel for sure, I personally like a +38MM or 6+1 offset, this will give you a stock offset.

    Please help! I’m trying to figure out a square tire set up for my 2020 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 deluxe. I have OEM setup right now. 27x9x14 front with 4x3 offset. Rear is 27x11x14 rear with 5x2 offset. My goal is 28x10x14. All 4 tires. But, do I need 4x3 offset on all 4? Or 5x2 offset? And 1 inch wheel spacers in the back only to make it square? Thank you for your help!

    • @FishersOffRoad
      @FishersOffRoad  Год назад +1

      I personally run the same offset all the way around. I typically run a +38MM AKA 6+1 so I can get as close to the stock offset.

    • @mkellydixon
      @mkellydixon Год назад +1

      @@FishersOffRoad Ok. That’s what I’m wanting to do. And it seemed like the 5+2 would be good all the way around but since the OEM was a 4+3 on the front and I changed it to a 5+2 I thought I would need the 1 inch spacers in the rear to make it square. Which is my goal. But maybe I’m making it more difficult than it is. I apologize if I am. I do appreciate your help.

    Is the track width on your Rmax different front to rear or are you running wheel spacers in the rear? I have a 2018 x4 with 27’s and stock wheels ( wider in rear than in front ). Stock wheels. Tires are 10” wide all round. If im not mistaken this would make the front tires taller than the rear due to smaller width stock wheel in front???
    This is changing the ending overall gear ratio so front is different than the rear??? I’ve experienced some vibration/binding when running in 4wd and pretty sure this is why.

    • @FishersOffRoad
      @FishersOffRoad  Год назад +1

      My RMAX is a little wider in the front with my +38MM offset. No spacers and mine are the same height front and rear. I don’t feel any drive line binding with my set up.

      Yes it will make it a little harder to turn without power steering . The contact patch is much larger on all terrain type tires . Mostly only notice it on hard surface on no or low speed . The wrong offset wheel also makes it hard to turn w/o power steering
