We did same last season. Played on the handbrake to start the season. And in later stages went and did our thing. Only thing is our defence even more solid now. People need to relax. Season barely started and they already in that doomer mentality. After city we have some easier matches to get some goals and the international break.

@Hubgaming27 even odegaard misplaces passes at times.trossard is by far the most underappreciated player at arsenal both by our fans and the manager. Last season he was our next prolific player after saka and all our fans keep saying he is best as a super sub. In the game against spurs, he created chances time and time again for martinelli which gets squandered but he's accused of not having much of an impact. The agenda against this guy is unreal. Zinny is the worst option because he's lightweight and squanders the ball easily. Trossard protects the ball better and is good in tight spaces which is why arteta always brought him on to see out games.
Soon as I saw the lineup I knew we weren’t winning today. Same system that cost us over Christmas last year and same system that cost us at home against Villa. When will Arteta learn? That poor summer transfer window our fan base was giving 7/10 is coming back to haunt us

We were poor against tough sides in the CL last season as well. It took City, Chelsea and United many, many seasons before they got to the CL final. We're only in 2nd season back into it. We shouldn't expect much. Let's focus on the PL. CL is just building experience this season.

I was supporting Arsenal before that game FIFA. I actually think our current fans think our players can run, shoot, and play the way their thumbs dictate players should do. Last good performance by arsenal was Feb 11 2024 absolutely shocking today.
Today’s game against Atalanta was probably one of the most boring Arsenal have played so far. While the defense was solid, the attack was a disaster. I’m not sure how Arteta plans to fix the offensive side so the team can start scoring more goals. Where’s the Arsenal from two seasons ago, scoring more than two goals per game? This season’s team seems too laid back and lacking that punch to get goals. Again, the defense is good, which is important, but if we’re not scoring, criticism from the fans will start to roll in.
Atalanta is a solid team, but they’re not better than Arsenal. Yet, we gave them too many chances, and now they can walk away feeling good about their performance, which isn’t acceptable. Yes, we don’t want to concede, but we also need to focus on finding the back of the net.
Saka’s performance was off today, likely due to his injury from last weekend, but I believe he’ll recover in time for the next game against Man City. It’s also clear the team misses Martin Ødegaard, and Rice didn’t have the best game either. Arteta has some work to do to make the necessary changes.
Shoutout to Raya for saving the day, and Calafiori and Trossard for making some impact in the second half. With a big game against mighty Man City coming up, we’ll need all the luck and the best performance possible. It won’t be easy, but I think we can scramble for a draw, which would be a good result for Arsenal. Good luck to the team!

City is another extreme and we have to step up again...there is no hiding place for any of the players.

Atalanta wasn't much of a problem in attack because of Arsenals defense. Also set up like that because of no odegaard for control in the middle, havertz having to play there as a replacement and a very good Atalanta m2m press causing Arsenal to go direct. Stop talking about this transfer window that has gone.
Also need to stop with this if "if brings success.." which we would only know at the end of the season. Judge it on the process now and if you think if you think it's the best available tactic to get results currently. Otherwise, whats the point of giving an assessment on anything

If I were to indulge your ASSinine comment, I would first tell you to try employing some critical thinking, then watch this game to see how many times Atalanta intercepted timber's FORWARD pass attempts... and how many times he was caught behind the Atalanta winger. Fact is, he doesn't work in this Arteta system, and it actually suits Zinchenko better, as in he can invert, make good passes... his only problem is that he has gotten skinned one too many times... similarly to TAA's defensive solidity issues.... in other words, he gives you something going forward, but is a liability in defense.
