It is always a pleasure to watch two beautiful ladies, with all their sympathy and good disposition, documenting with such beautiful images, the moments of their journey through my country. I hope you were welcomed and enjoyed :))) Regarding the Fire Brigade approach... A large part of the Fire Brigade units in Portugal are made up of volunteer firefighters; which leads all of us Portuguese, we have a respect and affection for these so-called "soldiers of peace" Most of its financing comes from the local government; but it is common for the population to give extra help with regular contributions, becoming members of the local Fire Department, to whom they pay a monthly fee or through occasional contributions through events and/or fundraising actions; like what happened to you.
