I'm gonna' say something in defense of us "wallet warriors". I've been playing this game for just over 2 months. As a guy in his 20's who's also a businessman and doesn't have a lot of time to spare - playing for weeks just so I can grind up to the tank I want is pretty hard. Not because it's hard to win, but because I simply can't play more than 1hr/day. So buying the tanks is a much easier option, since time = money, it would cost me 3 times more to sit down and grind. Now I'm probably going to get a lot of heat from salty guys here, but trust me when I say, paying for a tank doesn't make you good in a game. If you're not killing a premium - you're not doing something right. That said, I did grind the Russian/German and British lines, and I can't distinguish "normal" tanks from premium ones because I killed a lot of premiums with my normals and vice versa. In any case, my WR is 58.96% at the moment, but trust me - as soon as a more skilled player is in front of me, I'm toast unless my game is on point. That being said, I understand that some people just pay to win, but are in turn very bad players. But not all wallet warriors are there to go die and bitch in the chat. Some of us use the premiums instead of grinding for days just because our schedules are stuffed and we can't afford the time as the rest of the people, but we want to have some fun. Don't hate me, and have fun. Your friendly neighborhood wallet warrior.
JDB 1113 as someone who has been playing since 2014, I can respect this. Although it’s annoying when there are OP tanks against you, it’s not going to ruin the game. There ARE some hard counters, especially to this tank. When I saw this tank I realized immediately that a high profile tank is the counter to the 252U. Shoot the hatches.
Fellow wallet warrior here. I have no problem buying premium tanks because I can afford to do so, but I also grind a lot of tech tree tanks. I just like collecting and playing lots of different tanks. I do invest a lot of time to learn the game and improve my level of play. Still have a long way to go.
Only from afar, mid-close range you lose 90% of time, but its nothing new with WG that if you want to enjoy the game you need to buy at least one new op premium a year because others get power crept
Despite where you find the wallet warriors, thank them. If it weren’t for them, this game could not possibly be what it is today. If you’re an individual that owns a mobile device or a PC, and has time to play this game - odds are you trade your time for a $$$ (work) or have a parent that does. Like bushka said - the developers of the game do not earn a living by donating time. They need to be paid.
I find that there's a bit of a flaw in the "why would I buy anything worse than my defender" I think wargaming should just make unique premiums instead of cookie cutter Soviet heavies, how about a heavy with gun depression and lots of dpm? A heavy that has an ok armor profile, faster, and an autoloader? Something like the variety of t6? That's why I think t6 meta is better than t8, there's tanks that are definitely different, but competitive regardless
If I remember correctly, Bushka never drove it. WG never put it into his press account and since it has never been available for gold, the only way to obtain it would be to spend his own $$$$.
Lower plate is so troll, I hit the lower plate with my Löwe while it was angled upwards from 40 meters (meaning the lower plate is now less effective than before), it still bounced! Löwe accuracy is brilliant but I don't know how that shot bounced, OP as shit
The OBJ 252U fully loaded with 9 equipment shots and rare camo is on sale today for 12,500 gold. That's a very good deal for such an OP tank fully loaded with rare camo and 9 equipment slots. 12,500 gold costs about $35 U.S. which is much less than the $70 that Bushka mentioned in this video and for $35 your getting it fully loaded. I believe that equipment for tier 8 tanks is around 300k credits each. That's 2,700,000 credits worth of equipment included with this tank which is equivalent to 2,700 gold. The rare camo is worth another 540 gold which means your only paying about 9,300 gold for the tank itself which is about $28. That's really a good price for such a great premium tank.
LTTB can't even pen this tank unless running calibrated shells or firing APCR. Even then, you have to be hitting those impossibly small hatches, or trying to line up a shot directly on the rear of the tank. And even most of those shots bounce anyway due to the angles of the 252u armor profile.
As a pro player let me put this out there: get an IS-5 instead. The armor on the 252U is not special like bushka says it is. Scrubs will bounce off this tank all day long because they dont know how to pen it. That time he hugged the ferdy? If he pulled back sideways, then the TDs would of been able to get his side. The ferdy made a mistake, it wasnt the 252U being op or bushka’s great play. An IS-5 can do the same thing hull down, and can sidescrape just as well if not better because of the smaller lower plate. It can facehug just like an IS-3 can, it isnt the hull that makes its ability to facehug special, its the low profile of the entire tank. And an IS-5 has this low profile. Its a rip off, I can get the same tank with 20 less alpha for five dollars. Dont buy this thing, its overrated and overpriced. I’d rather buy something that has more speed and flexibility that works at all tiers than buy a tank with hull armor that only works against equal and lower tiered opponents of equal skill or lower.
The armor isnt the same at all when 300mm apcr shells are still bouncing off it ... The is5 can only dream of bouncing such shots and I have both of them and I can say it's not the same tank with "slightly " less armor people are saying this cause they dont want to many of them running around LMAO

The only advantage it has over the IS-5 is bigger alpha, the armor profile is not that good. Also, I've bounced 300mm of APCR pen with my IS-5 before. Just get hull down. No lower plate will bounce 300mm APCR pen, and if the IS-5 can bounce it off the turret then so can the 252U. It's not special, it's just a waste of money that scrubs have a harder time dealing with because of the armor profile being wack-o, so players assume its totally OP.
Yeah, I know war gaming said its "balanced" but I don't think the scale is quite right. I would be curious if a Jagdtiger could handle this in a face hug by cupola snipe.
I played this game soon after it came out. There have been many OP tanks that eventually got nerfed or power crept. But this thing..... A bit rediculous in that it's a premium so you know they'll never nerf it.
If it isn't literally in your face, shoot the lower plate. Its only 150-170mm thick. If it’s trying to get too personal, either run back to your team (it goes around 35kph) or shoot the cupolas on top. Theres 2 of them and they’re only about 150mm thick. Honestly not going to be super op imo once people learn where to shoot it.
If I facehug a VK100 I can reliably pen his face plates,but he can also pen me since the only tier 8 tank tall enough to do that for me is the Jpanther2

It ’s amazing because the stomach is weak but it ’s narrower than t34. I think that it is very balanced because penetration goes up with the charge bullet. The gun accuracy is often prayed to God like the Soviet Union.
I try my best to stay away from tier 8 as much as possible because of the amount of IS3 variants with those crappy 122mm cannons. I'm kind of over them.

I mean how long can blitz sustain its longevity with this kind of tank? I’m not buying this thing, because honestly this game will not last long with this kind of tank. How desperate WG to sell this kind of tank? Smasher, 253 made me think this game is quickly approaching towards the end of life cycle.

Yes. I tried it with my friend in 50 battles plat in both obj252u s. And had an avg dmg of 1.7k(it’s not a lot bc we normally just push one person at a time and our team would get the advantage and just win). And we had 75% wr in the run. Note that I’m only a subpar 58% and he’s a 55% only. Yes it’s op and more op since it’s new and people don’t know how to deal with it.
For me all about is a Russian Tier 8 Heavy, and there a lot of. I have a IS3, IS3 Defender (from the Event 5 Years ago), IS6 and the IS5. Personal i'm more Interested in British Heavys or Germans. But it's all about Russians...

Steven Li Thats lower plate. If you face the enemy with your upper plate then you will NEVER Penetrate unless RNG. We tested out the upper plate that it cant be penetrated by a 268’s HEAT shell.
