The Wisdom of Odin is a vlog of my journey through Norse Paganism, a way to assist others along their journey, and a place to promote a positive image for all of paganism.
While I personally declare myself as a Norse Pagan, I speak on topics that also involve aspects of Asatru, Heathenry, and other pagan identities such as Slavic/Celtic/Germanic paganism.
All gatherings are set up and managed by The Fellowship of Northern Traditions, a non-proft religious organization. This channel/community is inclusive to all but is also non-political.

Grettirs Saga is full of straight up battles against dead monsters though.
Very interesting video. Especially the story of Tyrfing, Angatyr and Hervör.
Very good information, thank you for going beyond the common understanding..
Well done brother, you covered the topic well.
I had a discussion in a thread on one of your prior vids with someone asking about these aspects of lore/ mythos, there are many kinds of spirits as you said, along with the manner in which they dwell and act in the mortal realm and with interactions. Wonderful fascinating stories.
Skal!
Thank you dear Jacob 🌟
Well made. I always look forward to Jacob’s videos, and podcasts for that matter.
Fuck yah man good job remember don't stop no matter what they say. Great timing for Samhain.
What a neat way to present the things you have found. The feel of the video was cool and I felt like I was being told old stories by a wanderer. 🖤
Interesting tidbit about the ghost hunting. Would love to pick your brain on that.
Skal Brother. Great topic to cover especially with Samhain just around the corner.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Well-told! Thank you.
Very cool topic! I loved the story of Tyrfing
Hey, JAcob. Sorry about the delay. I've been and am still busy with work but wanted to start catching up with your content. I am not much into ghost stories but I did like learning that the Northman movie is trying to get stuff accurate in yet another front.
Great video, I’ve recently started following you. You have inspired me to start my journey as a Norse Pagan.
Love the atmosphere AND the information in this video
This was a fun video. Informative, but entertaining too. :)
Yes!!!! Love this!
Oh I've been wanting on this one! Excited to watch.
Wanting to come back as the undead and haunt. How very modern of him, actually
More spooky stories!
Good topic for this time of year. Hits my favorite topics for fall, my norse heritage and horror stories. 👻🎃 a nice change up to the usual videos.
Skål, hope all is well!
Loved this thank you
Vunderbar! Great video, Heil Draugur!
Makes more sense that its Ghosts.
I bought 2 hoodies with runes all over them, it helps me to remember.
Zombi + Vampire + Ghost = Draugr.
So your telling me Hrapp was a real life lich. An evil man who intentionally became undead to torment innocent people.
Didnt think about it that way, but that all fits!
@@TheWisdomOfOdin lol thanks. I’m starting to think that Ogres, trolls, Fae, Loa, and other such creatures are all cultural names for alien spirits (alien in this case meaning not of human origin.) and while they aren’t always hostile and can be helpful, the run on a completely different sense of ethics and morals to humans.
What do you think?
Christened ✨🗡️ Sword for Undead Abominations of Lilith Werewolves and Vampires/Ghouls/Revenants/ Zombies... India has a book of the Dead. Also India encased a whole Triangle like Bermuda Triangle.
Hey man where's that link you said you'd leave in the description? The one that sends us to the website with all the source material you found about draugr. Lmk what that is or where I can find it
sagadb.org
My bad forgot to throw it up after upload
@@TheWisdomOfOdin thanks man I'm working on a cool project. It's so hard to find actual source material that isn't bullshit. I really appreciate this man.
The Withywindle will take you in circles cause it's head starts at the haunts of the Barrow Downs. You're lost
aptrganga
how are you gonna say that when google literally states it means "again walker" in a nordic saga
