Dear David, my deepest condolences to the Carmichael's family. I can't say enough how much I've been blessed by Ralph's music. He was a true genius! Thank you so much for your kind message, I'm truly honored.
@@walterfingerstyle I was hoping that his sister would make it to 2022. Ruthadele passed on December 31, 2021, at the age of 90. There are not many of the family left who can celebrate Cousin Ralph's music. Fortunately, the music in heaven will be a step up.
A few minutes after I played this ,my dad woke up from his sleep and we listed to all your songs that day. God bless you and your talent.

This song takes me back to my teenage years in Church and the youth club gatherings. However I remember the bass melody as much slower at the time and not that jazzy as you're playing it?

I listen to this song and think of this simple truth statement from The Book of Revelation, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if anyone who hears My (Jesus) voice and opens the door, I will come into him and fellowship with him and he with Me”
I want Jeshua (Jesus) to come into my heart every day. I listen to this song every morning and try to open my heart to Him when I feeling a little lonely.

What an absolutely wonderful arrangement. This thought just occurred to me that Walter is one of the few musicians that uses instruments like a visual artist uses paint. His canvas is the air and each brush stroke contains the pigment of many different timbres. The sounds of varied guitars, percussion, keyboards and voice are all uniquely mixed. Thus he creates a final painting that is a subtle and beautiful aural experience which caresses the listeners soul. What a gift to share and to heal those who experience these marvelous masterpieces of sound.

With so many guitarist performing all over the world, graduating from schools, trying to make a living etc. it's nice to hear one who focuses so much on tone and still manages to integrate modern harmonies and sub-harmonizations showing individual creativity in the process. I've been listening to the Nora Jones tune and Fly me a lot. I hear Pass and Deorio RIP in your playing as well as that wild man Scott Henderson. Hope to see you play some day in the SF Bay Area.
