Hello Adele, my hair is very fine and thin and brought all of the ayurvedic powder and will be making this oil and see how my hair will grow with this. I really enjoy your video, keep up the good work!!
Hello sis I use a lot of herbs as well but I let them infuse for months. The goop that's at the bottom I take a table spoon or 2 and add it to my deep conditioner to give it an extra boost. Also I make an oil out of the herbs by themselves in small batches as well. Depending on my hair needs.💚💛♥️🖤 your hair is getting so long and thick using ayurvedic herbs 💃
Nice video. I tend to lightly heat the powders to release their properties,, then add the oils and leave for an hour in a mini crock pot on low. I also make a seperate Amla oil to keep my Gray's dark!
@@HereDiianas you can use it.as a pre poo. Mix it with warm water, 50g with 1/3 cup of your favorite oils. Apply to hair and leave on for 30 mins to 1 hr. Rinse out and wash and condition. Hope this helps
I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time and I can see how your hair has really grown, your hair is beautiful. I just cut my locs and have thin fine 4c hair so your videos are most beneficial, thank you for faithfully contributing to the natural hair community
Hi Adede! Loved the video 😊! I am definitely going to try out some of these Ayurvedic powders! A note: you mentioned something in the mixture is drying out your hair. And you hydrate with water first then apply... I was doing some research and I think the powder that may be drying out your hair is the "Shikakai." Many people use it as a cleansing agent for the scalp, which removes dirt and debris. Just a thought... Try a batch without the Shikakai and see if it makes a difference.
4 года назад+3
Yes!! I figured that out too... so now i only use it in my shampoo... no more in my oils. Thanks for mentioning it.
That's what I was thinking too. Shikakai is a cleanser. It takes away. I would leave it out. May wanna use henna instead. Just a thought. Hibiscus, Neem and Aloe Vera are probably what is making the hair soft. Heck, all the herbs are good lol! Nice video.
Thanks for another informative video. The fact is there are so many beneficial hair growth powders and oils out there that sometimes I feel I need help to decide which ones to combine, in what quantities, and the best method to use to do so. I have also struggled with dryness after using some of these concoctions and you kindly explained and demonstrated how you deal with that. Thanks again.

You are welcome. Yes i have always been overwhelmed by all the Ayurvedic powders out there. That is why it took me so long to even give it a try. But i think with the right research it is worth the try.
Hello Adedé it’s always wonderful watching your videos. I was just wondering what you do with the remaining powder that’s been drenched in oil, do you throw it away or use it to make another batch? If you save it for another batch, do you make it immediately or store it in the fridge? Coz I was wondering what the texture would be like after stored in a fridge🤔 really looking forward to your reply 😊 thanks beautiful

Hey hey... i use the remaining in a deep conditioner or add it to my shea butter mix (video will be up soon). You can also creat another batch with it and keep it in a dark place untill u need to use it. I dont store it in the fridge.
This was very insightful and informative. My question is, with the residue of the powder in the jar, can you add more oil and use it as another batch or do you throw it away after one use. I would also love to have some moringa powder if you don’t mind sharing some. Thank you
Kakyire Puah thank you. So when the oiled residue powder is added to the conditioner, can this be considered a treatment of some sort. I am new to this natural game. Thank you.
I use the rest of the powder/oils for a hair mask treatments. Or prepoo or a deep treatment. I don’t throw it away and i do not re-use it for more infused oil.
I plan on using the leftovers and adding some of it to the avocado, honey, and olive oil deep conditioner I have in the freezer. The rest of it I will use in my prepoo. I’m going to let it sit overnight. I’m using ALLL of the goodness lol
Awww,i would like the power you want to give out and also nice video when ever I see you and see ur hair it always look very thick😍😍😍I am cheering for you 🤸🤸🤸good job😍💃

Sorry you are too late. I will give more away when I receive more from ghana.
If you are putting products/ water on top of oils, how does it gets to your hair/scalp?
4 года назад+1
Oils can penetrate through water... thats is why i only use water or water based products. I have a whole video coming up soon explaining why i “moisturize “ my scalp with water and oil, instead of just adding oil to my dry scalp.
@ sorry but I get putting oil on top of water as that will seal the moisture in. My original query was you moisturise every few days without washing out your hair. In other words there is already oil on your hair when you try and reapply moisture which means water/moistures will not be able to penetrate the existing barrier of the oil on your hair especially a thick oil like castor oil. Based on the chemical characteristics of this, sounds like a lot of build up. This is what I find puzzling.
4 года назад+3
Child of God Forever ohh sorry I miss understood you... but the same theory goes for the multiple moisturizing per week. It wouldn’t be good if the products you are using to moisturizer your hair just sits on top of ur hair and u dont have to moisturize ur hair. All My moisturizing products are water based and therefore penetrate deep in my hair, so after 2/3 days my hair begins to feel dry again (especially my end) then i know its time to moisturize again. Basically i am not building up but i am apply again. But its really each one and their own process and products and how their hair react on it.

Hi, Adede! 👋🏽 I've been experimenting with auyervedic oil infusions using powders for quite some time now and a lot of it is trial and error when it comes to finding an effective recipe. Just note that although the oil will separate from the powders when you allow it to sit for a while, the oil will still have powder residue in it unless it is properly strained. The residue will tend to settle at the bottom of the applicator bottle. Straining the oil with cheese cloth or a nut milk bag DEFINITLEY makes a significant difference in the clarity of the oil. The oil comes out much clearer and not "murky" with hardly any residue at all. Also, I've found that when mixing the powders and oils in a 16 oz jar, less is more. It looked like you used a lot of powders in that jar in terms of the powder to oil ratio (which I have been guilty of 😊). Those powders are potent and you really didn't need that much. That could be why the dryness shows up after a couple of days. But the use of aloe vera powder tends to "cut" the drying effects of powder mixtures so...🤷🏽♀️. I've found that using less amounts of powders and more oils, heat infusing for 24-48 hours and letting mixtures sit in a cool, dry place for at least a week (and properly strained) makes a wonderful and super effective oil. Auyerveda is awesome and really works. Keep up the awesome work because your hair is beautiful!! 😊💚
