This is the most complete video I've seen about Antwerp. Thanks so much! I'm planning a trip to Belgium and now I'm sure I won't skip Antwerp. It looks amazing1
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thanks! I have more Belgian videos posted, and more to come soon. Antwerp is a great city in a wonderful country. ruclips.net/p/PLke86NFI6R8yz9O7SFxIlQvt7hlvMkeIH&si=7axfUdsBR9MdNMYx
One of the best videos on Antwerp. I was just in Antwerp for 3 days in early March 2024. Only one problem we had in Antwerp, we were cheated by a taxi driver. This taxi driver charged €40.00 for a ride from the Antwerp railway station to Hotel Franq, a distance of just 1.2 km. This should have cost no more than €15.00 at the most. But apart from this taxi driver, this city has a fantastic museum and great churches and very good restaurants.
This video was really fun to watch even for someone who has lived in Antwerp for her whole life, haha. I learned some new things! Thank you! (But, oh dear, I went to Da Giovani with some friends once and their pizza was basically just overpriced cardboard. Can't recommend. Maybe their pasta is better. XD)
Note: Handschoenmarkt Although one of the most valued streets when it comes to architecture, this street has been the epicentre for cheap discusting food since years. typical for drunken dutch wanting to have a quick snack before puking it back on the streets. Most restaurants are not even restaurants, they are filthy snack bars. Pizza / Pitta / etc. Run by dubious owners. Oh and believe me...locals come to drink in this tourist neigborhood, but we would not spend our money in any of those tourist trap restaurants selling ' the best mussels in town' ...overrated, too expensive, all in all crap. Unless you are from the USA and think this is food heaven.

Traveling to Netherlands first stop Antwerp -thanks for the comprehensive look!
Great video Dennis, loved it. Though I must correct that PP Rubens was not born in Antwerp, but Siegen. Keep up that good work!
Thanks for that obscure factoid, appreciated!
Can't wait to watch this Dennis ! I'm very intrigued with the look of Belgium. You are one of the greats in this business. 😃👍
Wow, thank you! You would like Belgium.
Very helpful. Thanks for posting. 👍

Many thanks for your comprehensive view of the Antwerp in Belgium. How long this route is going to take? Is one day is enough?
Thanks again
One day is cutting it very tight -- you could do one day but cannot see everything I show in the video. I stayed for 3 nights and never got bored.
awesome
Thank you , great video 😊
Thank you!

Thanks Caroline, coming from a native, that means a lot to me! Overpriced cardboard - very funny (in hindsight), thanks.
The "stoof" in Stoofstraat doesn't refer to a heating device. A "stove" was a bathing house (aka brothel in disguise).
Hopefully May 2024 will see me there, the Olympic City of 1920.
The ferry across the river is free , the waterbus has different tarifs depending where you want to go.
Thank you
WOW WOW WOW !!!
Nice. When was this?
September this year.
i bet your wife was always with you filming this, because you "forgot" the red light district
Note: Handschoenmarkt
