Also think about it this is supposed to be a prequel like the actors actresses should look nearly identical to their older counterpart.. Just like smallville Clark and Lex aka Tom Welling and Micheal Rosenblum looks identical to Clark and Kent back when these actors were younger Micheal rosenblum looks the same Tom put on some weight.
My prediction is just before he wakes up that’s when we get the flashback for the series then the finale will be he wakes up that when Dexter resurrection will come out
There wont be a resurrection. Dexter wanted to die to become the human he always wanted to be. He knew he cannot be fixed, that's why he blew himself up after Deb's death.

Yea, It doesn't make a lot of sense based on the lore from the Original. Unless they get rid of the dad really quickly, since Harry Morgan kills himself the first time he saw Dexters kill room, which was the 4th person Dexter ever killed. Its also apparently set in 1991 and Dexter already works at the Police station, but in the series it was shown that he Graduated HS in 1991. So at a minimum it seems they're retconning stuff.

Endings are really hard to nail... but they keep finding creative ways to continue everything. I was disappointed to not see Batista confront Dexter in New Blood. It felt like a missed opportunity. They better do that in Resurrection somehow.

The problem with prequels of course is limited tension. We know the fates of specific characters and we aren’t worried Dexter will get caught. SMG is almost certainly doomed.
I hope Dexter comes back! I think his life will in fact flash before his eyes, then wake up from a coma, but he’ll already be in handcuffs at the hospital. Then his son, Harrison, appears and sets him free and off they go on a new killing spree. That will be amazing!!!
With Dexter fighting for life in the hospital it essentially confirms that Dexter is likely not dead and is the reason for the "Dexter Resurrection" Series coming in 2025!
I've yet to see a prequel that didn't retcon a bunch of stuff. They usually direspect the original story. I'm looking at you George Lucas. Let's see if they are successful where others failed. My hopes aren't high, but I'll be watching.

I hope Dexter comes back! I think his life will in fact flash before his eyes, then wake up from a coma, but he’ll already be in handcuffs at the hospital. Then his son, Harrison, appears and sets him free and off they go on a new killing spree. That will be amazing!!!
With Dexter fighting for life in the hospital it essentially confirms that Dexter is likely not dead and is the reason for the "Dexter Resurrection" Series coming in 2025!
I've yet to see a prequel that didn't retcon a bunch of stuff. They usually direspect the original story. I'm looking at you George Lucas. Let's see if they are successful where others failed. My hopes aren't high, but I'll be watching.

Some concerns about continuity… wasn’t Doakes Maria’s partner before she became LT? Harry also seems to be sitting at Doakes desk. Other than that…. I am looking forward to this series.

This feels like a fever dream for us fans of the original lol i was def disappointed with NB ending but it can be fixed if they give us dexter in prison waiting to be executed lol seriously tho i need that and i always thought thats where it would end ..either hes killed , executed, or somehow manages to escape

i just think they might go through the entire thing to just show the last flashback of the entire dexter show and kill him in the end. Then forward to Harrison and how he deals with his dark passenger

All the actors except Dexter deb and harry look awesome for younger versions of them, a bit strange how different deb looks and not sure I can see harry as a different actor tbh, shouldn't he be a similar age and dead in this like we always have seen?
