Currently not open bro. Every year from March to September Kumaraparvatha will be closed. Opens in October. In the description i have given forest officer numbers. You can call and check with them. Also once the trek is open, all trekking clubs will start organising the trek to KP.
There are no bathrooms bro. And toilets are just manageable. If you are planning for 2 days then no other option, you have to stay at bhatramane or at forest office.

Route remains same from Kukke to kukke or from Somavarpete to somvarpete while ascending or while descending no changes. However You can also climb from the kukke side and get down at Somavarpete side or vice versa.

It's spot registration. No need to book tickets. However if you are going on weekends make sure you call to forest/ bhatru mane and inform for accommodation. Just to be on safer side
Bus will be readily available when the train stops at Kukke station (subramaya road) bro. That is the special bus from railway station to kukke Bus stand.You will also get autos/shared jeeps as well. While returning from kukke to the railway station too you have a bus which drops at the railway station. You can enquire about this at the ksrtc bus stand.
Not much preparation bro . I regularly do treks so there was no particular preparation. The basic thing is to have a good sleep overnight. Breakfast have 50-60% of your capacity so that you aren't tired. Carry snacks/nuts/energy bars don't carry any extra luggage. For physical strength keep doing 1 or 2 day treks prior to this and get your body ready. Physically it's very challenging to do in a day. Before attempting this trek in a day have enough rest especially overnight you should have very good sleep
I have trekked 2 times to KP before this. So I said the same and also one of the forest officers remembered my face when I told him I had trekked last time. These things helped me. It might be a little difficult to get permission if you are getting down to Somavarpete and you are alone.

No bro if you are climbing from kukke side on day 1 halt near bhatru mane or forest office . On day 2 start trek by 4.30 or 5am reach peak and then come back to bhatru mane have lunch and get down to base(kukke) that's how most of them do.
