I have a gtc vxr. And im loonking at buying a screen but not to clued up on storage and latest updates so could you give me some advice. Theres some on amazon for £180 2gb + 64gb ram and rom. Not sure if thst is any good. Also has adroid 13
£180 would be too low, you need at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for it to be quick, as well as an 8-core processor, if the units you're looking at don't mention what processor they have inside, assume they have a 4-core processor and avoid them, until you find an 8-core unit, we also do one which keeps the VXR button which is here: www.iceboxauto.com/vauxhall-opel-astra-j-2010-15-navi-android-10-oem-style-radio-vx004
Hi, are there any customization settings? I want to rearrange the icons, change wallpaper ect but can't find anything in terms of personalization
Not built-in you can change from light to dark mode and vice versa, and you can change the wallpaper, but for customizing apps, what I would suggest is having a look for a Car launcher Application like AGAMA or have a watch of something like this and see if there's any you like because the system is an Android/LINUX based system, it's quite open for things like that: ruclips.net/video/qNZL50WPIAk/видео.html
I was wondering how much do you chart for the installation of the unit. I have a 2017 Cascada SE with the optional sat nav and I understand I would loose that option but would I be able to use the Google maps from my iPhone?
Yes you'd lose the original navigation, but you would be able to use Apple CarPlay and use the maps from there, or you can hotspot the Android OS and use Google Maps right off the units OS, which is a bit faster than the CarPlay, which requires Bluetooth and Data
My car has the airbag lights on the front dash and doesn't have a boot opening or parking sensor button. Would mine have any problems with the tesla style buttons?
You'd need an Airbag Cable alongside the system, and as for the boot opening etc. this wouldn't be an issue because they don't need to be accommodated, this is the AirBag cable you'd need www.iceboxauto.com/astra-j-tesla-airbag-cable

It depends on what your dash looks like, I imagine your car's dash doesn't look like this, but if it does, send us a picture and we can confirm if it would fit or not, you can email us the picture at admin@iceboxauto.com

With the Tesla style systems you lose the ECO button I'm afraid, you'd probably be better off with an OEM one, that can keep that feature, the RBT5754 is probably more for you
what work is involved to fit one of these into an Astra GTC with the Infinity sound system?
Personally I wouldn't recommend installing this into a car with the Infinity Sound system, as the unit won't be able to power the amplifier in the car, unless you also changed the amplifier to an aftermarket version
Is the Astra J Tesla style android and the Cascada the same because I'm getting mixed feedback about fitment? It looks like it will fit but I'm not sure because Astra has the silver trim around it.
Yes it will fit, the system is designed first and foremost for the Astra J, but it also fits into the Cascada because they share the same radio, CD400/600, the trim around them is identical, apart from the sweeping leather hood in the Cascada which is easily removed
Ive got a gtc 1.6 model obviously has the sport and tour buttons will it fit my car this unit ?
yes, however you would lose the sport and tour buttons with this model, if you want to keep them, have a look at our RBT5754 on our website, or have a look at our other astra j videos

HI, this could well be a canbus issue. I would speak with your vendor to check if they have another canbus to offer.
Do you guys have a version of this for the gtc 2015 it has the eco button ?
you would lose the ECO button with this system unfortunatley, I would probably recommend the RBt5754 on our website if you wanted to keep the stop start, that only replaces the original screen section, not the CD host down below

You'll need to check over the cables in the back, as well as specifically the Traction Control button, also see about the Canbus settings as it may not be set to the correct car type

I would need to know which Canbus has been supplied as if it's not got the correct settings for your car, a new Canbus would be needed, as well as manually checking over the connections from the unit, do you have a link to the item you got?
Has it got a decent radio signal or like most of the Chinese radios? What about normal dab support using the exsisting dab aerial?
It supports the car's original FM/AM and an Aftermarket DAB Can be added afterwards
@@iceboxauto what's the signal like though as most of the android units I've bought in the past are really bad signal.
It uses the car's original FM/AM radio connection, it will sound similar if not better than the original, you can also connect a DAB antenna for Digital Radio, if you're interested in that too

This unit is an 8-core processor, with 4/64GB of RAM and ROM, I think he missed out on the ROM at the end, referring to the cheaper units with a 4-core processor and 1/16GB of RAM and ROM, ROM being the storage space

There is a way to turn off the beeping when you press the screen yes

Yes, if you've got the same dash it will work, the main discrepancy is if you've got the infinity sound system in the car also, we wouldn't advise purchasing it if you did have the upgraded sound system

Great video as usual :-) I have installed and have a few problems hoping someone can help.
1) my sensors dont beep anymore, just displays no sound to warn
2) My blinkers dont make the blinker tick tick noise.
3) my original microphones for calls mounted in the roof no longer work
Any advice or help would be appreciated

Yes, it should still work, I believe it's on the row at the bottom, will still work no worries
@@iceboxauto I've purchased an experience one of these before had to return it. Even though the button is there it has no pins for connecting and isn't functional

I have one in my astra j 61 reg it's OK till I lock the doors for night now don't switch on with key unless I disconnected it and reconnect? Help
I would suggest getting in touch with the supplier and checking over the wiring if you've got the infinity sound system, that can also be a bad thing with these systems as sometimes the car will struggle to power both the radio and the amplifier, so the car's battery will drain
