when ryan hall runs out of weather video's, swegle swoops in and saves us from boredom with his crazy solar system weather. I love it. keep'em coming.
using sanism to kill boredom instead of helping fight stigma… i’d rather donate in the most boring way possible buddy

Literally just watched a Ryan hall video before clicking on this and then read this comment 😂
Aight, I ain’t the only one
Some you may have missed:
Sun - plasma rain
Mercury - Micro-meteoroid "rain"
Venus - active volcanoes; lightning; rainbows (Although not the traditional rainbows we have)
Moon - Earthquakes (called 'moonquakes')
Mars - dust geysers; earthquakes (called 'marsquakes'); dry ice snow
Jupiter - liquid helium rain (theorized, not proven yet)
Saturn - diamond rain (theorized, not proven yet); has "earthquakes" that are moreso ripples in the gas giant's atmosphere
Neptune - diamond rain (theorized, not proven yet)
Uranus - diamond rain (theorized, not proven yet)
Others:
Io (Jupiter's moon) - volcanoes; sulfur dioxide snow
Titan (Saturn's moon) - methane rain; dust storms
Pluto - nitrogen and methane precipitation; windstorms
Ganymede (Jupiter's moon) - water geysers
Enceladus (Saturn's moon): water geysers; water and ammonia snow
Ceres: water geysers
Eris: atmosphere freezes and falls back down as snow (nitrogen ice and methane ice, often)
Europa (Jupiter's moon): water geysers
Exoplanets:
HD 189733b: rains glass horizontally at speeds of 5,400mph (8,700kph)
WASP 76b: rains molten metal
WASP 121b: theorized to rain sapphires and rubies
There may be some I missed or forgot to add.
Fun fact: Titan also has cyclones like Earth, and basically the weather earth has, except for Tornadoes
Titan is fascinating
@@roan9914
Yes. So is that one gas giant exoplanet that is so close to its host star that its atmosphere explodes and causes shockwaves across the planet. I forgor what it was called though.
what about the stable rings of cyclones on the poles of one of the gas giants? i forgot which one
@@evervirescent
He mentioned the hexagonal storm at the poles of Saturn, so I didn’t mention it
This channel is so great, can't even put it into words. It fulfills my heart's weather nerd needs 😂
DUDE ME TOO!! I got so excited when I saw a new upload in my subscription box
@@barfmanlll6498you talk like mistor guy
Thanks so much :)

He’s quickly became my favorite educational creator
The footage from Venus just made me so happy, it's just...another place. It's just another place out there and there's an atmosphere, rocks and a ground and you can record the ambient sound, how cool is that.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the reason why we're not getting random video recordings from Mars is due to data transmission limitations. Taking a video recording, then trying to relay to Earth would take a lot of time. Yes, apparently there are some videos taken by Curiosity, there were many images sent, as well as 360 degree (?) footage, but deep space communication still takes time and is intensive. If I got something wrong, please lemme know, I hope I'll see it
It's SO COOL. I hope we can get more footage from there soon, but I know how inhospitable it is even for machines
Every time I see photos from Venus, I have to remind myself that the pressure on the surface is 92 atmospheres.
Fun fact about the shrinking Red Spot on Jupiter, it May be actually getting Deeper and taller as it shrinks and contracts. Makes you wonder what goes on where we can not see.

Good point. The bottom might drop and give it a more tornado like profile ?
If it is getting taller and less wider then It should be getting faster
when i win the lottery im buying an observatory, out in the country, away from light pollution, probably in the north of england or scotland and you're all invited
Not when. *_If._*
Did you win the lottery yet?

I really appreciate your presentation style. You don’t have over the top editing nor a forced/exaggerated voice. It almost sounds like you’re just having a natural conversation with the viewer. It’s refreshing!
Imagine him reading these in Chills voice
Yes! Can't stand these videos and their usual narrators
yeah. He’s not overly exaggerated, nor is he lecture-y. It really sounds like one of your friends ranting about their interests.
"Earth. We're here right now...."
Perfect moment of zen Swegle Studios! ❤
I love this channel, random weather facts and now space stuff?! you are so good at coming up with stuff to talk about that hasn't been covered yet. and dude, sick stache
also damn that photo of saturn is so striking. the cyclone is so big that there are little baby cyclones inside of it.
i have crippling astrophobia (it's mainly the massive empty void concept that makes me really woozy because i love the solid ground), but i absolutely adore learning about planets in themselves, their biology/build, and especially the idea of new kinds of weather on all these planets, so this is absolutely feeding my tism brain.
also i just feel like it helps when another voice is narrating, it helps me ground
Double edged sword eh?
Sometimes I forget how massive the Sun actually is
And it's nothing compared to bigger stars
You should do a video about the tornado that hit Wayne Nebraska in 2013
NO YUCKY
Man, Juno's shots of the jovian atmosphere are gorgeous. The fact that some of those vortices are earth sized absolutely blows my mind
You should talk about Titan, the thickest atmosphere of any moon by far and the combination of that with the low gravity means a human in a spacesuit could probably fly there using big, muscle powered, flappy wings that they wear on their arms. Also Io has volcanic eruptions that spew stuff all the way out of its atmosphere into space and there are some really cool pictures of it. Also NASA is sending a nuclear powered drone to Titan to fly around called "Dragonfly". I hope we get some really good videos from that but likely more of the Mars drone quality type of stuff. Although I'm not sure why it wouldn't be possible to slowly beam back an HD, color video.
Sulphur, I don't think it's sulphur that leaves the atmosphere tho but whatever it is reacts with Jupiter's magnetic field to intensify it. Io also losses one ton of mass every minute or maybe hour. I really should remember these things better seen as I watched a video on it over 30 times lol. That video is the moon's of Jupiter by sea if you're interested in them.
The short answer is that most of the camera equipment which can record high definition, color video, is not hardened to survive the rigors of space. It's doable but would be expensive. Couple that with the transmission times and distances, and it would probably take months to get even fragments of the video. Remember that HD videos are often several gigabytes in size, and we don't send information packets that large through space yet.
This is what youtube is made for, everything you do is new and intriguing, best channel on youtube yet
Thanks for reminding me that the internet will go down sometime
an someone who is in love with both weather and space, this is like a dream come true. thx so much for making this!
I will be honest- when this was recommended, I honestly thought it was one of those melodrama/ conspiracy things that went 'Oh look at this weird clip- ancient aliens are at it again.' So I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this was, in fact, well written and well crafted with well researched facts. Wonderful!
Fun fact: in the north and south poles of Saturn, there are commonly massive bolts of red plasma lightning tearing through the clouds, some measuring to 5,000 miles long and reaching temperatures of up to 30x of our lightning.
50,000 x 30 =
1,500,000 (degrees)
1 Million degree lightning.
The hottest temps on earth are 134 degrees.
@@bruhman5716 Saturn isn't earth, is it?
Please make more vids! love watching this content! Weather is crazy cool!
I followed your channel for the tornadoes videos which are always extremely fun and interesting, but this one is so good, it might actually be my favourite video of yours! I'd love to see more space weather videos on this channel!
“If beetle juice went supernova.” 😆 This channel is amazing. Such a relaxing vibe, great narrating voice, very informative. I didn’t go to school for weather related studies or have a job in this stuff but tornadoes are fascinating and so is this. Love your videos man.
*Betelgeuse. Not Beetlejuice (even though they're both pronounced the same)

Oh my gosh, my two favorite topics. Weather, and space. 😃😃 I’m so excited lol thank you, Jake!!!
Absolutely love this kind of stuff. I always look forward to your videos, they never disappoint.👍👍
More space videos please! Loved the presentation and all the effort put into this. The history, the comparison graphics, all the compiled footage.
I love this channel man. Typically I put it on right before bed for some weather videos, the nostalgic feeling intros outros, and his smooth voice. Just nice
Idk why but I like calling coronal mass ejections "sun burps" instead 😂
“The climate on Venus is…not fun.” 😂😂😂 pfffft a statement that is both 100% accurate but also hilarious. Idk your delivery is flawless as always. You better believe I clicked on this video the second I saw it 🎉 you are seriously such a gem and I love these videos. 12/10 will always recommend
Fun Fact: Venus is technically an ocean world. Not an ocean of liquid water like Earth, but an ocean of supercritical carbon dioxide
I love your channel and the topics you cover, I'm glad there are others with this kind of interests out there
This guy is like the Wendigoon of weather channels
I love how unique your vids are. I mean its crazy how you put my top interests into this video. I love weather and I love space. Been here since 6k subs and I won't be getting off.
I notice this with a lot of these weather channels, but they always have this nice retro 90's TV feel, makes me feel like I lived in the 90's even though I never did.
Just found your channel, had to subscribe, love learning more about outer space and our solar system. Keep up the good work! 👍 💯
The soviet space program and ESA made so many awesome discoveries and I wish they were talked about more prominently. I've been a big space nerd for so long and have only found out about the soviet Venus program recently, it's a shame it gets so little attention
I love this journey. Your voice is so smooth like someone explaining the pros and benefits of one cake topping over another :D
Man your videos are great. I swear you're just one of those RUclipsrs that just has such easy to watch stuff and interesting commentary and editing. Hope you get a million subscribers fast cuz you deserve it!
1:00 your intro is so cool!!! I can see where you got your inspo from, it’s so on brand!
3:00 solar tornados are so interesting, it really makes you think about how the same patterns exist but in different ways. many people get surprised when they find out fire tornados exist on earth
6:26 you should write a book about the venus cloud city
10:46 very nice of oppy to give us this static and these images. space photography and technology is so humbling
11:26 I am so jealous of people living 500 years from now because some people don’t even believe space exists for one, and then I’m trying to be like “look how cool this is!” and sometimes it’s literally the most underwhelming thing anyone has ever seen. repeatedly. this rant was necessary lol
11:50 if we got that footage, I would never shut up and neither would anyone here. it’s SO important.
17:18 thank you for not forgetting pluto!! Pluto’s baby atmosphere is adorable!! honorable mention for the Tombaugh Regio though it’s not weather but, you know!
as always, an amazing video! thanks for sharing with us. space weather is so cool. thanks for all the work you do!! love your content, jake!!!
It was no surprise the Sun would have weather, but it was a surprise to learn planets that would seem void of any atmosphere would have any sort of weather.
You know a day is a good day when Swegle Studios uploads. Love your vids, keep up the good work!!!
Thank you for this video in particular, I love your channel, and this was really really interesting, I'd never thought about weather on the other planets before except for the red spot on Jupiter. This was seriously a very cool video!
Awesome piece, Jake, as always! Being a new dad hasn't dulled your story skills at all, LOL! Never knew most of this stuff, awesome to find it out from you! Cheers!
Two of my fav topics in one let’s gooooo
Welcome back! Excellent choice of topic for this video. Just saw this upload and I can't wait to see it after I'm done with my homework.
Your channel is so amazing, it always boosts my day and gives me a smile, no exceptions.
And just to think, this is only a tiny sample size of what weather exists on planets across all stellar systems. Can you imagine what sort of weather exists on a brown dwarf, or on a hot gas giant orbiting in close proximity to its star?
The most amazing weather thing Mercury has is its own tail. Yes, Mercury can have its own comet tail. It's hard to see but it's there. It formed because of solar winds ripping matter off of Mercury's surface. Thought You might want to know that.
Yeah, it’s really odd, but really amazing
Greenish lightning caught on camera during my birthday sent chills up my spine.
That's awesome.
I like your videos because they inform me of things that havent already been said over and over and over throughout the years. Very fascinsting and entertaining :)
It’s just god playing with his sandbox
Lol 😂
This channel is hitting literally all of my niche weather interests and I love it
I absolutely love your videos - Amazing job on everything you do! Thanks!
You somehow always make a video of all my favorite things. Putting the storm overlayed on earth and stuff like that is stuff not everyone will do but like you have a great curiosity 👍
these videos are so entertaining
Dude, you can not chill on Mercury...

I am always pumped when I see you've got a new video up!
This channel knows what I love and that is astronomy and meteorology
I think one of the terrifying things about the sun is that it's so volatile that its atmosphere isn't even smooth. The corona is really jagged. How volatile do you have to be to have an atmosphere with spikes on it?
Gravity falls fans assemble 17:06
Omg this channel is my missing piece fr. As a kid i always loved to look at all these crazy weather events and know more about space. I rmbr i wanted to be a storm chaser and witness weatger events. But as i grew older i slowly got drifted along with society and slowly forgot abt these passions i had. Watching ur videos rekindled my memories and my passion to just appreciate the world cuz its just so memerizing to know how big and crazy it is out there ❤
I love the fact that mars' atmosphere is so thin that the dust devil just sounded like a light breeze xD
13:31 I know it's simple but I really like the transition here
Aw heck yeah. I love Jupiter so much, any content regarding it is something I wanna see. The other plants are of course also super interesting.
6:31 Been hearing the Sonic Unleashed soundtrack way more on RUclips lately. Glad to see people are finally discovering how good it is lol

I love how educational your videos are. :D Space is fascinating and there's something amazing about there being weather on planets, and some even more terrifying than weather on Earth. Thanks for making this video.
your vids are dope, keep it up man
in 4th grade i did a report about Venus called "Venus, Earth's Evil Twin" it was so good i presented it before some school bigwigs at a function later that year.
Congrats on 200k
