David Arkenstone: one of the best contemporary Neo Celtic composers in the world. We love his music.
"Just discovered" Arkenstone a few months ago as I was listening to my New Age Music Cable station and thought, "who is that guy?" Has a certain style and when I hear it from another room, I know it's his music now. I still like my 60s and 70s Rock, Clapton, Rolling Stones, etc. but being in my late 60s, I am more relaxed listening to this. Love this album. Thank you, Mr. Arkenstone for providing quality music that touches the heart and mind.
David Arkenstone is one of the early pioneers who helped create the New Age music genre back in the '80s and has been creating beautiful music since then. Among his contemporaries from that time are other great New Age artists like Suzanne Ciani, Andreas Vollenweider, Peter Buffett, David Lanz, Paul Speer, and Kitaro, among a few others. You should check out their works too if you like Arkenstone's music. In particular, check out Suzanne Ciani's, The Velocity of Love, and Vollenweider's Down to the Moon and White Winds.
Also check out his wife, Diane Arkenstone. Her music is very similar to his, as that is how they met.

Friend of mine heard one of his songs on his car radio, pulled the car over and started recording it, but had no idea who the artist was. For years he was trying to find the song. He met us playing an MMO, and we got on the topic of the Most Mysterious Song on the Internet ("Like the Wind"), and he remembered he'd been trying to find the title of a song. We all helped him by searching far and wide, until finally we learned the name of the song: "Marathon Man by Arkenstone." To this day I consider myself blessed to have found it, and help my friend find this beautiful music, and the artist who created it.
I accidentally bought the David arkenstone album to call the wind , not knowing what I had bought. But behold I fell in love with him and I still love all of this music. It's hard to say whether Tim Janis or David arkenstone is number 1. So let's just say that it is a tie. Just perfect music to craft to read to or just sit back and relax. I went to Disney World when my youngest nephew was turning 6, and behold there was David arkenstone calling the winds music as we were entering Epcot. Oh one of a round of applause I give Mr arkenstone. And I will continue to applaud beautiful music!

I love this it makes my mind and body really relaxing. It literally makes me imagine I'm going to a beautiful magical world with so much peace. Even my newborn enjoys this soothing beauty 😌

Ive been on the David Arkenstone Caravan since Valley in the clouds back in 87. And ive been fortunate to have met him. Arkenstone 'wrote the book' in modern composition and there is not a composer from the late 80's and 90's who hasn't heard the first 4 albums he recorded for the Narada label. Disney pretty much purchased rights to his 4th album 'in the wake of the wind' and used the entire album at its amusement park. So many Arkenstone imitators nowadays, i make sure to purchase his albums to keep him doing what he loves and clearly what the creator put him here to do.
NARADA! YES! I still love 'Altered States!' Turned me on to Dean Evenson and David Lanz as well! Arkenstone kicks and takes names.
@@mrinnopadnah8316 YES! I miss the NARADA DAYS! So much good music. And the followers of said music were interesting people whom you could feel a connection with. If I could take a time machine back, I would. That was a completely different world compared to the one we currently live in.

I totally agree! I have this album and play it every night to bring on peaceful sleep. I'm a "late bloomer" and just discovered David Arkenstone recently. Better late than never! I am in the process of ordering more albums. I have 4 at present. 🕊 ☮

This album has a wistful quality. It is beautiful so I could not listen to it if there is anything unhappy weighing on my mind. Nevertheless, I have saved this to a playlist, for my sunny days (like today!). Nice that I could find a full album. On David Arkenstone's own RUclips channel I could not find albums. Only singles.

Only have his Valley in the Clouds CD. That was my entry in New Age music that brought along the Hearts of Space radio station. After many years of different artists and other forms of space/new age music, I've come back full circle back to this album.
