It is agile, fast, responsive and if I had any more power, I would definitely be pulled over. This car has an overwhelmingly amount of new technology which you don't discuss. Beginning with voice commands to open/close windows, change a/c fans, temperature, start or stop heated or a/c vent seats and more. Houston - large city, but getting my Genesis serviced is terrible. I needed cruise control error analyzed. Called for service - was told 3-4 weeks wait time. Was able to get in @ 2 weeks, THEN 3 week wait for a new DS wheel hub, then service appt. $175 for diagnosis, $450 for repair (OEM part was $145 on Amazon). The quality of Genesis and especially the dealership experience and repair department just isn't there yet. Long story short, I traded it in for a Lexus.
Great review Joe! Looks good! I have a couple quick questions if you get this. I just took a once in a lifetime position that will take me across the US traveling literally 5 days a week. I'll be inspecting residential homes but strictly on military bases. Its a perfect fit for my 24 year professional background. Majority of the time, I will be flying out on Mondays and flying back in on Fridays. However my question is, since I can opt to travel across the US by vehicle, which I will at times, I now need a nice more upper end vehicle. What midsized SUV, since you have seen them all and have first hand knowledge, what two would you recommend and should I buy something new or newly used with very low miles? Hope this message finds you. If you have a minute to reply, I would greatly appreciate hearing your recommendation. It will be of value and you know vehicles best in class! Id love to get something like this but my new position, I'll be home inspections or assessing so I think I'm going to need at least a midsized SUV for the room to travel and keep my supplies in. I would basically take the third row seats and fold them down and that area would be where I kept my luggage and my very small items I will need at all times. Thanks for your advice if you do happen to get this and don't mind. Great review as always. Kashton
