Thanks. You must be one of the most heppest of the hep cats, if you dig my bag. Right then. I'm going to scoot ..see ya in a bit..oi my son..I'm so hep I can say goodbye in Brit English. Pretty fookin hip, innit squire?
One of the groovingest, most soulful blues performances I’ve heard in 65 years of infatuation with this kind of music. I’ve met Muddy Waters, Gatemouth Brown, Jim Hall, Dave Brubeck, & seen BB, Freddie & Albert King, Ray Charles, Gene Harris live, & many others. This hits all of my sweet spots. You’d be my hero if you’d consider playing this again with your camera facing down at the keyboard & your hands. Regardless, thank you so much, it’s a killer!
Man. That was a nice surprise. Just doing my daily ego boost check to see if anybody subscribed or commented . to be mentioned in the same breath as Gatemouth Albert BB Ray Charles and maybe closest to my ideal for bluesy jazz piano, Gene Harris. That's really nice to hear. Les McCann is my main man though. I#d guess you've listened to a little from him too. I will include the entire quote in the liner notes on my forthcoming blues album., if I ever make one. But, yes I will set up the camera with the POV from above so you can steal all my shit.
a tip for you, if you use play alongs for standards, the nicest i've heard and use often are from Guitar Improvisation. here's a link. all his vids are good. he comps really tasty and clean. ruclips.net/video/M46i3p5xBy8/видео.html
I will be thrilled to watch your hands on Stormy Monday, & just wanted to let you know how much I dig your playing. Like many guitar players after 50 years I’m frustrated with the guitar’s difficulties, so trying to move to piano, fortunately I understand all the theory. Your playing knocks me out - sort of like Otis Spann took a few lessons from Gene Harris. I’ll be listening for anything you care to play.
That's Hep, thanks for the post.😎
