When I was just starting out in my first band I was lucky enough to have Kevin MacMichael (the guitarist for Cutting Crew), come to my band's practice. At the time he played in a Beetles cover band named Spice. They were phenomenal. He of course went on to compose all those amazing CC guitar parts. He then went on to play guitar and serve as Robert Plant's musical director during the Fate of Nations album. We lost Kevin to lung cancer about 15 yrs ago. He was an immense talent and is sorely missed. Not too bad for a boy from Nova Scotia.

Darren is a gifted 'stylized' vocalist who, imho should never be silenced. We come together 4 moments like these every week. It was spot on & I mean spot on 💘 👊
And just like that we are transported to the 80's and one of the best one hit wonders of it's time🥰. Don't get to hear from Darren much but when he decides to sing, never disappoints and backed up by the usual high standards from the rest of the boys, we get another fantastic version to listen to. 👏👏🤟
Always good to hear Darren's silky smooth vocals up front, especially the passion he brings. Typical tight performance from the crew, with Tzan and Shaun showing their picking skills up front, with Damo and Mario chugging along nicely in the rhythm section as usual. Not forgetting Grant doing a good impersonation of Darren at the keyboards.

Did it again, took a song from the 80's that I didn't especially like and turn it into a gem. You don't get the feeling of the "four chord song" in this version. Highlights for me? SOOOO clean and crisp (and beautifully produced) Mario's kit with that snappy snare, a great acoustic tribute to Simmons! Just great playing and singing by everyone (as usual) and Hello to Grant ! Love it!

Darren is #producernerd... AND a great keys player... AND wow, what a VOICE! Great tenor voice for this 80's classic, love the tone and vibrato. Tzan must be one of the best guitarists in Australia, if not the world! As others have noted, great interplay between Tzan and Shaun on the guitars. Damien back there (eclipsed by Darren), superb bass. Nice keys Grant, you and Darren worked out the perfect synth voicing for this one. And Mario is always fantastic in the back corner. I've run out of superlatives, y'all. Thanks for making us smile weekly!
