Yup Ryan Murphy. I have a 2009 Yaris sedan. I changed mine a few years ago. I used the oem toyota pink Hoat coolant. The dude even said in this video it was the original 14 year old coolant and lasted that well. Didn’t look dirty and held up. It’s a 7 year or 100 thousand mile whichever cokes first coolant. It’s amazing stuff. He should’ve just spent the extra couple Bucks and got it from Toyota. I spent $20 here in Illinois for mine when I changed it couple years back.
The engine block drain plug is under the exhaust manifold which can be loosened/tightened with a 10mm socket. YES, I'll replace drained coolant with Toyota brand PINK coolant. "The Car Care Nut" channel also emphasizes to replace with Toyota brand PINK coolant.
@4:41 you mention that the system self-burps. Could you tell me where you could see the burp happening? FYI, I flushed and replaced my coolant on my 2003 Toyota Echo last night and saw it burp in the coolant reservoir by itself while the engine was running.
I also want to mention the Supertech coolant you used is excellent. It's manufactured by Prestone and I've personally used it in many different vehicles for well over a decade and hundreds of thousands of miles with no problems whatsoever. It has superior heat transfer properties compared to OEM Toyota coolant in that it doesn't have any phosphates in it.
I normally always use 50/50 asian red premix because the yaris and most toyotas, particularly these tiny types, use very specific coolants. But good to know you can use this type as well I guess?
The problem is not so much the coolant but the 14 years of not doing the change. However, these cars are practically bulletproof, so it doesn't really matter
How do you know all the water came out? You can never extract all the coolant. That's why the second flysh was still pink. I think if you go with water, you need to do nrw coolant flysh few times so all water come out.
@@VegasRoManiacReviews , or add concentrate equal to the amount of water left in the engine, then top up with the mix. The amount left in the system is equal to the overall capacity minus the amount of the last water drain.

It's an aluminum block you need the pink coolant for that Asian Motor . Otherwise you can do some serious damage
