- LSU Baseball and Arkansas Baseball played in the winners bracket in the 2023 SEC Baseball Tournament. The winner would advance to the semifinals on Saturday, while the loser would face Texas A&M in an elimination game on Friday.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

@@meathdetal For one thing, the white lines on the back part of the batters box on both sides are gone. So there's no way to definitively say he's out of the box by watching from the front. You would need to see an angle from the side. So you'd have to trust the umpire's judgment.

Let’s be honest no one really expects to get to skenes. But congrats to the hogs for getting it done. Probably not be the same outcome if the game happens again, but it probably isn’t the last time we face off

Catcher interference bullshit was the game only inning they scored
You dont have to like the rule, but it exists for a reason. The ball very well could have been hit on a different path if the bat wasnt slowed down by the glove. The rest of the game was strategized based on what happened, saying that is the reason they won is just hard coping

@@ZatrexTV from the other more clear angle…you could see nothing. A call that huge should be made only if it’s 100% clear that the bat hit the mitt, and that wasn’t the case

@@bradenshepherd3149 that angle didn’t show anything though…that was when the catcher was closing his mitt. Wayyyyyy too close to call that because it wasn’t clear and obvious. If you don’t agree with me, that’s fine, that call changed the entire game, and it was just too close to call imo

Skenes against Arkansas, USC, and Kentucky (all of which are among the top of the conference) has a 4.22 era... Also 3 starts against Georgia, Ole Miss, and State which are 3 of the worst teams (26-64 combined SEC record) he posted a 2.70 era... So against those 6 sec teams (which include 3 of the best and 3 of the worst) he had a combined 3.20era... And finally against the remaining 4, which includes Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, and A&m (3 of which are below the top 5 in the conference) he posted a 0.69era. So my point is Skenes has been a good strikeout pitcher this year ill give him that, but overall he's getting roughed up more than people think against better teams and even some bad ones.
I don't think anyone ever said he was unhittable. His big asset is strikeouts to walks. Records double digit Ks in almost all the games he pitches. Still the best in baseball even after this game.

@@bogross5168 I'd much rather have the starter from the Razorbacks. Smith's stuff is noticeably more electric than Skenes'. I'd wager that 5 years from now Hagen Smith will be a main-stay on a staff in the BIG'S and Skenes will likely be throwing that weak breaking ball of his somewhere like Schenectady, NY.

Catcher interference was blatant. However, let the ball count start over. Letting the runners advance is like an interference call at the 10 yard line of the offence resulting in a 6 point score in football.
Well it was obvious it was catchers interference and rules are rules so get over it. If it wasn’t for catchers interference that ball is probably gone. So 😢 if it makes you feel better
