- In the final round of THE CJ CUP @ SUMMIT 2021, Rory McIlroy shot a 6-under 66, getting to 25-under par and earning his 20th PGA TOUR victory by one stroke.

The PGA TOUR heads to The Summit Club in Las Vegas, Nevada for THE CJ CUP @ SUMMIT. A range of Ryder Cup stars are set to battle it out in the limited field, including Team Europe’s Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy and Tyrrell Hatton, who finished tied for third last year. Meanwhile, USA’s Collin Morikawa is a member of The Summit Club and has shot a 62 at the course. The Ryder Cup rookie went 3-0-1 at Whistling Straits and is looking to continue that momentum at home. Similarly, two-time tournament champion Justin Thomas and 2018 champion Brooks Koepka will be aiming to build on their recent success as they look to lift the trophy once again. The field is limited to the top 60 from the prior season’s FedExCup points list, as well sponsor exemptions, including Rickie Fowler, Adam Scott and Justin Rose. 2020 champion Jason Kokrak, who captured his first TOUR title in nine years last year, will be hoping to defend his title.

Just a suggestion to the PGA RUclips channel…create a thumbnail that doesn’t give you the winner. Then create a highlight package that chronologically shows good shots and bad shots of all the players that were in the mix. Then those that didn’t hear the winner is can enjoy a drama filled tournament in 10 minutes. Finish it with a couple of sound bites from the top guys post round interview. I’m sure your viewership will grow immensely.

I dunno he kind of beat himself with that double on the par 5 sixth. At least he didn't implode after that but it was a very costly hole.

@@iiZAPPx He makes birdie there and he's in a playoff. He birdied that hole in every other round. Colin and Rory birdied it all four rounds. It's pretty much a must birdie hole in a low scoring event like this one.

Yes Rory! Made up for you mate
what a crazy tournament that was. Four different leaders at four different days. Rickie Fowler back on the top of the leaderboard since ages, birdies and eagles galore, albatros from Ancer. Unbelievable race to catch up from Morikawa with 7 strokes back to almost a win. The tournament tho was imo decided at the 10th when Rickie was looking at a birdie putt and Rory looked at what was most likely to be a bogey. Fowler ended up with bogey and Rory safed an incredible Par after poor Tee-shot and poor bunker shot. After i saw that i switched off TV since i knew that Rory will ship it. And he did.

Ricky surely knows any top tier player in clicks into form that person likely to win. Rory played like his first us open win, it was fun golf. He had fun today and that was fun to watch.

He certainly might be the most talented, and definitely a living legend with many years of potential "prime" left! He's also done more than anyone (other than Tiger, obviously) to grow the game of golf in this generation.

He was put out first by Harrington in the Sunday Singles to be seen to be battling for his point, and he made it. My own controversial opinion is that we lost the Ryder Cup when the team was picked, because (being ruthless) I would not have had Poulter or Westwood in the team. The US came to the Match bristling for revenge; it is no longer a "friendly" get-together between Europe and the US. It is a proper no-holds barred emotionally-draining shootout. This time the US came out on top, and the European Team has to evolve. What Rory did on the Sunday was magnificent because he was left alone to get on with a job he excels at. I hope Rory takes this in his stride, and thinks carefully where he goes next. Ultimately, the Masters in April must be his target for now.

Seems like Summit is a little too easy. I know they played it with four par-5’s, but even if you take 2 strokes off par, they still shred it. With the water issues and stuff, and the investment needed for Summit to be build (not to mention like the $10M “entry-level” homes you’d have to buy to get into the community), they should have aimed for the course to be top-5 in the world. Maybe even second to Augusta. It is possible to design a course that is both playable for mediocre players and still extremely challenging for tour pros. Don’t get me wrong, the track is gorgeous and a caddy there has sent me tons of photos and it’s exceptional, but it would be another level entirely if the course was super hard AND looked pristine like that. There probably shouldn’t ever be a situation where you can drive it in a fairway bunker on a par-5 and knock it to 3 feet from the trap, because you run it up, and make an eagle. Never should happen. They could probably just reshape the greens with much more slope and protect a few of the greens better and they would probably not be able to shoot double-digits under par.

Scott Kirkwood must resign from Monterey Peninsula country club. He has caused me and many of his coworkers mental torment and sleepless nights. If Scott’s family knew the extent of his behavior and how he treats his coworkers in the workplace they would be shocked and ashamed of him, because I would be mortified and extremely disappointed. He told me the reason why everyone is quitting MPCC is because they didn’t want to make the country club better. How delusional does that sound? He has a domineering personality and should never be in any position of power. JJ West and Jennifer from HR have turned a blind eye towards his behavior, which makes them cowards and part of the problem for not doing the right thing. They would much rather sell more dog collars and more dog bowls than to have happy employees working there. Turnover rate is through the roof directly because of Scott.
