I’ve worn Birkies for almost 40 years, they’ve always been popular here in California. I’m dying for a new pair, white or black, my tan nubuck oldies from back then look a bit scruffy, but after 35+ years of daily wear, they’re going strong structurally, at least for at home. They’re my summer house shoes, with Steggman wool clogs for the winter, both have terrific comfort and I highly recommend them.
