It was between Venezuela and Dominican Republic. Either one would be majestic as Miss Universe! DR was just exotic beyond imagination, eyes couldn’t be taken away from her, she owned that stage at every moment! Venezuela was charismatic and you could really see the humility in her! She is one of the audience favorites for a reason.

@@rodyvivanco1949 USA tiene más coronas, por qué será? Ah sí, no van a dejar que el país organizador del evento tenga menos coronas que otros. Y obviamente no iban a permitir que Venezuela los igualara en número de coronas. Durante el historial del MISS UNIVERSE sin duda alguna las candidatas de Venezuela la mayoría de las veces son las más preparadas y fuertes. Aparte de ganar varias coronas ya, tienen un largo historial como primeras finalistas, es decir, que son fuertes concursantes casi siempre.

Yo tenía unos nervios, y República Dominicana 🇩🇴 fue la primera en entrar al top, por eso es que digo, con el Miss Universo nunca se sabe, de la que manos pensamos, esa fue la que ganó🤷🏻. Y la chica de mí país República Dominicana 🇩🇴 la subestimaron tanto, aquí no la querían algunos, decían qué ella fue a pasear, que ella ni al top iba a entrar, y miren, cayó muchas bocas aunque no haya ganado. Para mí ella es un ejemplo, voy a ser sincero, pero no todos los dominicanos no son muy fans de concursos de belleza, pero todos se unieron esa noche para ver a está muchacha llegar lejos, nunca habíamos simpatizado tanto por una reina de belleza Dominicana, que sorpresa nos dio está muchacha, me siento orgulloso por qué la seguí desde qué ganó el concurso nacional, y todo el tiempo me gustó, el país nunca había estado tan feliz y entusiasmado, después de Amelia Vega, después de qué Amelia Vega ganó sólo quedábamos de 1,2, 4 lugar, y ahora de segundo otra vez, pero lo importante fue la buena representación de esta bella mujer.🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴

For me, either of these candidates could be a great miss universe. However, despite the Q&A, I think the controversy around USA's national winning really shows that she handled the situation very well and kept her positive attitude all these time. And this might have given so much attention and admiration from the organisation.
And months now they calmed down

The best top 3 in Miss Universe history in my opinion. Even stronger than 2018 and 2019. All three deserved the crown. A very close competition that came down to the judges personal preferences.
Andreina was my sentimental favourite (I had supported her since 2021 when she was supposed to compete). Amanda was my front-runner from the moment she was crowned and I still believe she gave the best overall performance. But I was still happy with R'Bonney's win because she gave an excellent performance and I think her win was very much deserved. Plus, she did such an amazing job during her reign! Love all three of them

Tactically, USA was smart. She had her hair up, a different color dress and just exuded confidence. The other ladies all looked alike, same color dress, dark hair worn down. All the ladies were intelligent, beautiful and regal. Congrats to all.

Majority of the public agreed that it was going to be India or uraguay and were satisfied with either of them . Great job MUO! the production this year was spectacular! Despite the smaller stage, this edition showcased the culture and spirit of New Orleans. Each segment was suspenseful, the stage effects was glittery and eye catching, the crowd is very lively. Music was amazing too. So excited to see Jeannie Mai and Olivia hosting again next year they are miles better than Steve Harvey who makes the show all about himself.
Tbh, I thought the stage effects were a bit mediocre. Miss Universe has gave us more glossy, more presentable and more advanced in the past but I'm sure under the new management everything will all be sorted out. And honestly I don't mind Steve, the way he announces the candidates during elimination is epic. Maybe he could co-host with someone to balance it out. Random asf but Keke Palmer or Rupaul would be a great tandem to host

This is perhaps one time when miss USA became miss universe and no opposition from audience of it being rigged. Truly deserved and runner up was equally brilliant. She could have won too.
In 1995 and 2012, people kept wondering how come miss USA won over their far more eloquent runners up. In 1997 miss USA was terrific & vivacious but her runner up gave a similar answer in a boring and far less impressive manner.
What!? Maybe in the US because in social media literally everybody is claiming how tf USA won over Venezuela and Dominican Republic when they were by far better and superior. Even Cardi B said there were flaws in that crown lol.

I was thinking the same thing! USA tactically was very smart. She wore her hair in a bun, showcasing her face. Wore a totally different dress than the other finalists. IMO, the other lovely ladies all looked similar, same tone of dress, dark hair flowing down, face framed with the long hair. USA really walked in there with poise, confidence and she had a calmness about her. Any of those ladies could have won really.
@@uplatenite8in 100% agree, this is a trait that comes with age too and of course the fact that she's a designer, she's all about the details. Even her showing up with a band just set it all up. This was def hers to lose. I think they should change the age to 21-30. I I just think 18 is way too young and as a woman we are not even comfortable in our skin at that age.
So much history was made during this crowning.
Ximena Navarete was also a judge in 2012 when Olivia Culpo won. I guess she is USA’s lucky charm.

USA is one of the best speaker n making into the top 5 made it easier to win the title, plus the q n a were very simple n generic that any Non speaker could answered well, so it was obvious for USA.

All 5 were/are gorgeous. Didn't watch on tv, as it was not broadcast on a major network (at least where I live). Was on Roku Channel, didn't have. Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic were my top two.
