      @ProseAndPetticoats. Hi. Nothing to do with the video but I get a very personal question for you. Since I've discovered your channel I'm intrigued by the features of your face. Do you have Polish/Romanian or any other Eastern European background(s)?

    I love your style. You have a very personal way of organizing your things, it's elegant and delicate, this is reflected in everything, in what you carry in your bag, in how you annotate and tabulate your books, in your library, in everything we can see of your home through your videos. I love it 😊

    My guilty pleasure are these, "What's in my bag", videos. How many books I can fit in a bag is always a big consideration. Book sleeves have been a fairly recent discovery. How did I ever live without them?
    YAY! Another public transport user who sees how nasty it can be! I try to avoid even sitting on the seats. I never put my bag on the seat or floor. If I'm going far and have no choice but to sit, those pants go straight in the wash when I get home. For those who think I'm crazy, when you see people sleeping across several seats and with their bare bottom sticking out, you would do the same. EEWWW!

      I try to keep my handbags rather small; otherwise I just fill them up and then my neck suffers haha.
      It is disgusting. When I see people touch the bars and then touch their food and eat it, I die a little inside.

      @@ProseAndPetticoats One of the best books I own is Edward Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Six Volumes, almost 4,000 pages, Everymans Library. It isn't fiction but it contains a gut-wrenching account of the defeat and destruction of the Byzantine Empire, perhaps the greatest tragedy to befall Europe. I read the entire work and extracted ~120 pages of quotations in my Notebooks.

    Cool! Where is your book sleeve from? I commiserate as a fellow migraine sufferer, the quicker I take something the higher the hope it stops it in its tracks… I didn’t know Paperblanks did bags too! 😍

    3:29 My fountain pen tends to bleed through or to flatten out when I try to use it on index cards... if I were to attempt calligraphy, for example, the ink gets absorbed into the card in such a way that all the lines I make end up looking like they are the same width. Has this been an issue for you?

    • @ProseAndPetticoats
      @ProseAndPetticoats  5 месяцев назад +1

      It depends on the paper and the thickness of the fountain pen! You can experiment (or write with a ballpoint pen) :) But I get your frustration. The feathering can be annoying...

    • @tahlia__nerds_out
      @tahlia__nerds_out 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@ProseAndPetticoats I have been writing notes on index cards with a ballpoint pen, but I do love my fountains pens. They are from my Dad's calligraphy kit from when he did calligraphy work when he was in the Air Force many years ago (the calligraphy kit, including the ink, is older than I am!). So I have an emotional attachment to the fountain pens.

    • @sakuralaedy7068
      @sakuralaedy7068 4 месяца назад +1

      Roller ball pens will help for papers too thin for fountain pen, or a blot paper card could help but you might have marks on other side. Or a finer nib helps with ink flow

    I think it's a bit outrageous for people to be walking around a big city with a $10,000+ designer bag on their arm, you might as well hold up a "please rob me" sign. Secondly, I really don't feel sorry for these brands, they raise their prices at least twice a year, so basically they are driving any potential customers into buying fakes luxrul
