Thanks LMC, placing my first order soon for the floor pans and rockers for my '60 C10. Kevin is a huge help and a great spokesman for LMC. A true craftsman.
I had a 57 Chevrolet 1-ton panel van that I had to redo the floors in making and routing my own boards that I don't think we're as hard as this... Nor as expensive
It looked delicate. They even handled it like it was. 10 minutes, a 5 year old boy, I mean a boy, not like we see so much of today, his cowboy boots, and him jumping around, would probably look like a hail storm came. But, I'm only guessing. But, the look just isn't wood. Looks like those vinal boards for decks. I think those would work, and be tough as nails.
Hey LMC - Guys, why don't you re-pop floors for 66 Ford Styleside trucks? There are hundreds of these around and nobody makes one. You have bunches of guys like me that are going to have to jerry-rig a solution that works for our old trucks where the bed is too damaged/rusted for use. I've got two '66 beds and I'm less than three hours from your corporate headquarters. You can swing down and take any measurements you need to see if you can make something for us. If you can do it, you'll sell a few hundred of them quickly because there are bunches of us trying to figure out what to do.
I've actually started a series of videos on what I'm doing to replace mine. I need to film another and get it posted. If you click my name it should take you to the list of videos where I describe what I'm going to do and I show some progress on how it's going. Don't worry about subscribing or liking or anything, I just want to help others figure this out too. If you watch and have some suggestions do not hesitate to leave them on the pages.
i can get a nice 66 ford project truck with the matching box cheap from my friend just i have to many projects all ready and many more fords chevy's and dodges if some one wants a project car lot of them have no rust in them good body's the 68 chev i got from him was perfect no dings or body work still had the factory paint on it i got for 1000 with built 327 all matching # but i am putting a stroke 454 in it that i got from him for 500 with tunnel ram any body that builds cars need to check this guy's place out a lot of trucks he sells for 200 / 500 and they are well worth it
@@adriantomlin2902 maybe so, but it lasts a lot longer than actual wood planks that you'd have to to put on a sealant and finish on all sides of the planks
Seems a bit lazy of the manufacturer to not engineer it to use stock mounting holes. Ridiculously overpriced for something not designed with the consumer in mind...
Hey Carlo_boy, our aluminum bed floors are made of aircraft-quality. Making them durable and weather resistant with minimal expansion compared to wood.
Traversebean2 Bmx not when you factor in that you may have to refinish or replace regular bed wood twice or 3 times during this ones life span. And you don’t have to baby this like you would regular wood if you want it to look good
It may cost more than a wood bed in the short term But, when you factor in the fact that you are a lot more likely to have to replace the planks after a certain amount of time, adding in the whole process of finishing the planks top, bottom and edges It's a lot cheaper in the long term
"How did you wood get all those dents in it?" "My kid had his cowboy boots on and was jumping up n down in it" It looks good, but it's impossible, so far, to duplicate the look of real wood with a printer. And it will bend, and dent, I'm guessing not to hard either. The weight issue is good if you race it for sure. .
"ready to install right out of the box" Yea right!
Only watching cause K.T. Is the presenter one of the best!

How to install wheel liners
Came out flawless
Like the use of the rubber tubing. Very informative video, this will help with wood as well. I will be installing a wood bed in my 65 GMC.

Fantastic Video!!!
Beautiful Bed Kit!!!
Cool video, and very informative. This kit should be made available for the 73-87 Chevy. If it is, it's not in the catalog or on the website.
It looks like these guys do custom sizing. www.smokeyroadrodshop.com/
I have chromed rub strips in my bed. I think they look better then polished strips!!!
Would love to see this bed kit be available for my 77 Chevy C10 Stepside!
If LMC could engineer the boards with stock bolts and stock bolt location, one wouldn’t need a “buddy system” and 3 days 😂 to install??
Exactly. Then they could actually advertise it ready to install and be truthful about it.
Use self tapping screws to make pilot holes. They're cheap, don't walk as much, and save your drill bits.

Wow looks fantastic!
That's a great product, but no way I'm drilling all those holes. You should made factory sized panels
LMC said they’re not selling this kit anymore
Why didn't they just build the panels the factory width, would be alot easier install
Yea I don't get that either!! Especially for the amount of damn money they want for this kit!!!
@@adriantomlin2902 These high dollar fades are here today, gone tomorrow.
Can this floor be laid over the factory bed floor??
How do you install bed to frame?? Since on the original wood you go through the wood to install to frame..
love it! thank you. Really Great work 👍
How do you bolt bed to frame with this kit??
Looks nice but can it hold some weight 🤔

Went to LMC website. No listing for a 49 Ford F1 short bed Wood Floor kit. Why?
Beautiful!!!!
Great stuff!
I'm curious on how much it would cost for my truck
Anyone know if you can get something like this for a van floor?
Would the years change the bed on stepside. Is 60-66 the same as 67-72?
interesting product, thanks.
Love the wood grain. I say no to chrome.
cant find these on LMC site.
same here as of 3/27/24; must no longer offer
Do they make this for 76 f100 my bed is rotted out inside
Hello, we don't offer this particular product anymore but we do offer repair panels for your bed. Please check out our website.

@@Lmctruck1 so it is not a real wood? It not came from wood? Sorry for my bad english...
No sir not real wood, this bed floor features a beautiful real wood grain pattern without all the real wood issues.
Nice looking but I think is a little Expensive

You don't have to baby the wood in the bed of was probably finished!!
If it was properly finished I mean.

Hi Kevin, We're sorry but we no longer offer this product.
40 hours of drilling later...
Why do you need a rubber gasket and worry about scratches when it's hidden??!!
Why wasn't this video done with a Stepside that actually had a wood floor? 🙄
The 60-66 chevy fleetsides were wood too 😂
The fords we’re light years ahead of the Chevys in theses years. Why did Chevy wait until 1967 to put steel floors in their trucks?
WAAAAAY TO MUCH WORK FOR ME. 😂
Would be nice if it was manufactured to use factory holes.
