The way I got my first deal, is i spent about $2,500.00 in the studio (80's) back then no home studio. I played sum keys. But my friend was like Prince he played drums bass keys & guitar on my song. Paid 4 singers to demo it. Met with Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin. They liked it. Rick said go record a full album. LP went gold Single went platinum. Wendy is correct saying this game cost $$$. I always had $$$. Big Wendy Day fan.
