    My hometown! No one understands when I say it's the most beautiful place on earth. Thank you for the small reminder of place that I grew up.

    Great video.
    Moral of the story when flying to new and exciting places ... "Always carry a peanut butter sandwich in your pocket, just in case." :-)

    How do you actually get to heavens landing? I know it's private. Is it invitation only?

      I am not sure as I did not coordinate the details. A lot of flyins are because pilots are interested in property there. I would suggest to give Heaven’s Landing a call to find out more. Skyline Baron Pilot would be a good resource for any details you need. She has a popular RUclips channel.

    How long did it take you to get your pilot license? Do you think being in your late 50s made getting your license more difficult?

    • @LarjoskiFlyingAway
      @LarjoskiFlyingAway 3 года назад +1

      I don’t think age was a factor. It was time, resources, external motivation, and money. It took me about 120 hours to get my PPL. I wasn’t flying as often as I should have. It’s best to save the money and go for it. When I did that, and also changed to flying the DA40, my skills got better and better. Some of my other videos explain a lot more. Self motivation is important. I didn’t have much close personal support except for the general aviation community and my awesome instructors. Thanks for watching.

      @@LarjoskiFlyingAway Thanks for replying to my questions. I finished ground school for Sport Pilot license, but because of Covid-19 I put flight instruction on hold and having been using X plane, MSFS, DCS and IL-2 Sturmovik to keep "sharp".

    I'm curious, what type of plane(s) did you train in? Do you like the SR22?

    • @LarjoskiFlyingAway
      @LarjoskiFlyingAway 3 года назад +1

      I have about 10 hours left seat in the SR22. It’s been a goal to get my high performance endorsement but it’s not happening at the moment. I really like the Diamond. I’ve flown Piper and a Cessna one time.
