There is nothing sobering and profound, nothing opened in this teaching. The kingdom of heaven is being closed from your reach, and you're thanking him for that. "Woe to the world for such temptations to sin and influences to do wrong! It is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the person on whose account or by whom the temptation comes! Matthew 18:7". "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, pretenders (hypocrites)!
