Perhaps the skeletons he did not recognise belonged to the Scaled Ones we saw hints of in the Descent? They seemed to have some interesting death rituals, perhaps something of theirs inspired the Nevarrens.
I suspect that the Mortalitasi is secretly a cult dedicated to the Elven God Falon'Din, and a building a colossal undead army when he inevitably returns.
Given all that invested description, I'd be a bit surprised if we don't see the Necropolis at SOME point. I'm down. 😂 As you point out, it could be done with a wonderfully creepy horror vibe. Your elven problem: 🤣🤣
The bottom of the necropolis sounds surreal like a M.C. Escher mind-bending etching of staircases. And the smaller rooms that can be accessed by crawling into them reminds me of The Winchester Mystery House. I wonder if it's a way to keep the spirits wandering within the necropolis and not escape? I really great deep dive into the mystery Cole.
It sounds like the vale doesn't reach that far/isn't present at all at the bottom, could you imagine if Solas tried to take it down from there I mean could you imagine writing something so perfect for a videogame and not using it, I hope that skeleton in the concept is that one guy from down amongst the dead men
if we accept that evanuris=old god, might that be where one of the evanuris was? do we know exactly where the 3rd arch demon was? maybe that tomb to a warrior queen was also where the arch demon (evanuris in physical form cut off from the fade) was sleeping. it doesn’t super work, because im of the opinion that if toth (archdemon of the 3rd blight) was any elven god it would be elgar’nan and he’s not a warrior queen, is he? idk

Now that's a terrifying thought, should Falon'Din=Lusacan turn out to be true O.O
Not true at all 😂

Good video, every time I start a new game in Dragon Age Origins as a magician he is a Necromantic with the ability to manipulate thunder

I'm sorry they built a mega structure and just stuff spirits into corpses there and call it a day?

"warrior queen"? In a place that has to do with weird stuff about bodies AND spirits? It could be the resting place of Mythal's body perhaps :D
I'm beginning to wonder if it its mythal's tomb
