Slim chance for Texas because they don't play with discipline. Penalties kill Texas. The running game is inconsistent, and going against a team with great defense will only worsen the situation. They're right that the only chance for Texas is to hit and rattle Howard. He was rattled v Michigan. But he's been nothing but focussed, confident, and in rhythm since.
Ohio State sandbagged against failing Conference Mate Michigan... OSU didn't need the win... in fact, got better PlayOffs positioning at #8 without a win there...
Oregon's defense was its weak link, so Ohio State's offense looked great. That will not happen against the Texas defense. The Texas offense would have eaten up Oregon's defense also. Oregon had a great offense and that offense carried them the entire year.
Ohio State lost in Michigan at home. They are not unbeatable. I can't believe Manning isn't playing more. A coach like Spurrier would dismantle Ohio State with those two quarterbacks. He did it against FSU with lesser quarterbacks many years ago.
@ they didn’t slow Washington, Boise State, or Penn State and that’s about the only three teams they played with a pulse on offense other than Ohio State. Even if Ewers is mistake free the Bucks could still cover the 6.5 spread! Tennessee and Oregon were each mistake free no turnovers and still got blown out. Buckeyes D is due for a pick or fumble. OH

Time of possession. Good Luck. OSU’s defense is aggressive. I’m sure they’ll be motivated to sack Quinn. Good luck stopping OSU’s offense. @@TheRacy Okay but what about this takes away from the point that people are getting carried away with these last two games? Y’all nearly lost to Nebraska…
@@TheRacy The point is Ohio State always chokes when they have to face a big physical team. if they win this game, whoever they play in the national title game will beat them. If it’s Penn State, it’s tough to beat a team twice in one season and they’ve got the defense to be able to stick with Ohio State. If it’s Notre Dame, fighting Irish, our secondary tackle well enough to limit their playmakers in space and force them to be able to beat us running the football. We saw how that worked against Michigan.
@@TheRacywho almost lost to vandy? not texas. if that’s your take you didn’t watch that game. Texas had a healthy lead the whole game until they subbed out to their 2nd and 3rd string and let vandy score in garbage time for experience. there was not one second of that game in which texas was at risk of losing.
Start with the following keys for TX to beat OSU: 1. TX D-line vs. OSU weakened O-line attacks on QB; 2. TX O-line keeps pocket clean that allows Ewers to slice and dice with shots downfield; 3. TX running attack should be rested for this game; 4. TX might have its “special” plays for this game (special teams and offense). 5. TX coaches vs. OSU coaches… 6. Arch Manning knows the playbook…we have seen how effective he his when he uses his feet and arm to extend the chains. 7. Your points about TOP is spot on! Points 1-6 support gaining this. TX will need over 31 minutes of TOP (32+ hopefully); and finally, 8. TX is advertised as the underdog for the first time this year…this burns and the team is very quite and respectful now…watch the game…
So you're saying that you like Gunnar Helm against Sonny Styles/Caleb Downs? Idk how much confidence I'd have in him winning that matchup consistently. But that's just me. Screens are a pretty good plan, but not consistently. If they get you 4-7 yards every once in a while, you can slow down a pass rush or beat a blitz, but if they start looking for it and blow it up a couple times it'll get you way behind the sticks. A screen play gets set up behind the LOS, so it could also cost you really bad if the defense sniffs it out. Idk how many times I'd try that against JTT & Captain Jack 🤔 JS

All y'all talked about is OSU Offense. Yeah, it's on a roll and JJ Smith IS uncoverable. But the defense has been lights out. Ewers will turn the ball over at least twice.
I agree that 2nd downs are crucial for any Texas success, they must get OSU into 3rd down situations....they will
Side note: um just beat alabama 😅
EbbTide headed back toward 3 - 9 seasons again... maybe JaJa as well... thought Texas and Oklahoma would disappear down into the middle of the SEC, never to be seen again... but looks like not...
Texas needs to establish the run.
Number one. If Texas wins the coin toss, DO NOT defer. You do not want to play from behind
Screen screen screen? Ohio State LBs play wider than all other teams and the Safeties comedown faster than most. AND Caleb Downs only plays 9 or 10 yards deep and runs sideline to sideline better than an safety in the country
We have to play a clean game penalties are killing us
Physicality. Buckeyes’ weakness is their OL. Texas just has to get pressure on Howard
The O-like hasn’t given up a sack in the playoffs, if it’s that same Texas team that got ran through by skattebo, no Michigan comparisons can save Texas from an ass whooping😭💯💯
i guess you haven’t been tuned into donovan jackson or luke montgomery lmao
If Howard can't be sacked... that sounds like a STRONG OL !
Maybe I'm reaching...But I feel like only media members are saying Texas has no chance. I'm a Buckeyes fan and I know that Texas is tough. They play ball down there too. And they have athletes. I truly don't believe that a true Buckeyes fan feels comfortable. We know that this team doesn't show up at times. There is no way Buckeye fans feel comfortable right now. Don't let that false narrative fool you.
Will be a great game, I believe whoever has the ball last will win. Each team has an x factor. No mistakes will win a close game and I m a buckeye fan go bucks 😊😊
Stop Ohio State on third down? Against Oregon Ohio State faced very few third downs. They were picking up plenty of yards on first and second down
They're right that the only chance for Texas is to hit and rattle Howard. He was rattled v Michigan. But he's been nothing but focussed, confident, and in rhythm since.
Ohio State sandbagged against failing Conference Mate Michigan... OSU didn't need the win... in fact, got better PlayOffs positioning at #8 without a win there...
They said The Ohio State Buckeyes has 1 good WR 😅
I think my Texas Longhorns beats the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Semifinals if they can get pressure on Will Howard early and often
We'll see... hope it's a good game...
Oregon's defense was its weak link, so Ohio State's offense looked great. That will not happen against the Texas defense. The Texas offense would have eaten up Oregon's defense also. Oregon had a great offense and that offense carried them the entire year.
Texas has not play a clean game all year. Texas offense has not had back to back bad games. Sark needs to keep getting 1st downs long drives.
WIll Texas fans come out in freezing cold weather and a foot of snow?
Ohio State lost in Michigan at home. They are not unbeatable. I can't believe Manning isn't playing more. A coach like Spurrier would dismantle Ohio State with those two quarterbacks. He did it against FSU with lesser quarterbacks many years ago.
Ohio is going to take Texas for granted
No
Name me one defense anything like Texas that hasn’t slowed Ohio State’s offense down….. Nebraska slowed them down, so did Penn State, so did Michigan.
Oregon's Defense didn't... but slowed everybody else...
@ they didn’t slow Washington, Boise State, or Penn State and that’s about the only three teams they played with a pulse on offense other than Ohio State. I’m not knocking Oregon, but their defense and Texas’s defense are apples and oranges….. if Oregon’s offense and Texas’s defense were on the same team they’d smoke everybody.
Luckily, Cam Skattebo will be in Tempe.
Even if Ewers is mistake free the Bucks could still cover the 6.5 spread! Tennessee and Oregon were each mistake free no turnovers and still got blown out. Buckeyes D is due for a pick or fumble. OH
I-O
Com on man! Longhorns are loaded!
As much as I hate osu, the ONLY CHANCE Texas has is to pay Michigan to play for them.😂😮
Beard guy sounds desperate...i love the smell of fear
Recent games against TENNESSEE and OREGON!!!!
If this was week 3 O State would easily be considered a GIANT. Don't slight TENNESSEE and OREGON like that
LOLOL Blake KNOWS.
Texas will beat OSU in a staring contest before the game starts as they are used to keeping they’re eyes open in the blazing Sun of the texas sky
Texas finna beat break off Ohio I’m telling you Texas is not no weak team I’m telling watch and see 🤞🏾💯
Well this will be who ever loses in the cotton bowl will be there last lost in 25... Then they play week 1of the '25 season... Js...Should be interesting over the next 7 months...
Facts are Texas for the season has more passing, rushing and receiving yards then Ohio St. To say they have a deeper rb room our 2 rb have more rushing and receiving yard total vs Ohio St top 2 rbs.
Did Texas play 3 top 5 teams during regular season losing by 1 point to #1 Oregon then trounced Tenn and undefeated Oregon in playoffs
The competition is much different. Ohio state played much better teams than Texas. So don’t leave that out
The team that had trouble, like as in, was lucky to escape with a win vs. Arizona State, isn’t beating Ohio State. Don’t be silly.
Time of possession. Good Luck. OSU’s defense is aggressive. I’m sure they’ll be motivated to sack Quinn. Good luck stopping OSU’s offense. Pick your poison stop the run or stop JJ with your zone defense. Zone defense allows Will Howard to pick apart your coverage with slants and outside receivers. Good luck
They need to blitz a lot to win but good luck with that with all the receivers ohio state has
Texas hardly blitz's and they have 41 sacks
@jdsmith-bl2yl ohio state doesn't much either. All 8 sacks we had against oregon were coverage sacks
Let’s see, are there any common opponents? Yes, Michigan played them at Ohio State and Texas played Michigan in Michigan… Texas killed them…
Don’t have nothing to do with nothing
@ We will see.
Richard the Simp
@@richardleach8102Even if Texas won your "logic" is beyond stupid.
Casualest of takes
Texas beat bama 2 years ago and should have been 3 years in austin because they were more physical
I don’t think people understand ohio state had 4 touchdowns against oregon that was 40+ yards… that’s 4 explosive touchdowns… 3 being passing touchdowns…
texas has the best passing secondary in the country Lead all FBS in INTERCEPTIONS. Texas defense doesn’t give up explosive plays early and often… They will two turnovers in this game. Texas wins 24 - ohio state 16..
😂 I cannot wait to revisit this dumb AF take......😂😂😂
@ how is it dumb , what’s not fax about what i’m saying
Hookem Horns 🤘🏻 ✨ 🔨 ✨
Go ahead and ignore what ohio state has done yes texas has a chance but unfortunately for them ohio state is to loaded with players and are peaking at just the right time. Osu 38 to 24 texas. Book it!!
Didn't you say the same thing with Tennessee? And we all know how that turn out.
so what your saying if Texas can score more points to Ohio they win.
Rattleable is a word, for sure!
Ohio st doesnt leave dallas with a win
Georgia had 7 sacks against Texas one game and 6 the other one. Both of those games are the most sacks they've had in any of their games, even when you include the cupcake games. The Ohio State defense is going to feast.
🤘 babi we need this this year not nxt year
Buckeye D fence is great go bucks
Texas barely held of Arizona st... stop it...
All you texas fans talking smack in here... you're not saying anything according to blake lol. You also really want a natty which is much different from every other fan base lol
If OSU gets the ball first - Texas will be playing catch-up the entire game.
Go Bucks!
If OSU's O-line keeps the QB upright for 3 seconds, they win the game.
Joe, get a job
You guys are out to lunch, let’s revisit this comment later in the week after Ohio State wins.
All of this talk about how good Ohio State is is getting ridiculous. It’s two games. Michigan still owns them and every time they go up against the physical offensive front, they get put on rollerskates.
and Georgia owns Texas and they almost lost to Vanderbilt? The only team without a loss was Oregon and they got annihilated.
Lmao
Please
Ohio will rule that stadium 50 50 my ass.
In Texas? Very doubtful
@@justchillin4065 you'll see.
Start with the following keys for TX to beat OSU:
1. TX D-line vs. OSU weakened O-line attacks on QB;
2. TX O-line keeps pocket clean that allows Ewers to slice and dice with shots downfield;
3. TX running attack should be rested for this game;
4. TX might have its “special” plays for this game (special teams and offense).
5. TX coaches vs. OSU coaches…
6. Arch Manning knows the playbook…we have seen how effective he his when he uses his feet and arm to extend the chains.
7. Your points about TOP is spot on! Points 1-6 support gaining this. TX will need over 31 minutes of TOP (32+ hopefully); and finally,
Ohio state isn't a giant? Jesus christ this dude is delusional. They just beat the undefeated number one team by 20...Texas boomers are hilarious
Don’t use the Lord’s name in vain!
All Praise and Glory to Jesus Christ!
King of King’s and Lord of Lord’s!
Ohio State 49 Texas 14
Gigg😂les!!!!!
Ya shoulda said , put in Arch, PERMANENTLY!
Sounds good but a qb who ain’t played all year is recipe for disaster. They threw him in against ga and how’d that work out.
You guys have this weird take on Ewers every week it seems. Quinn only has 11 interceptions on the season.
Howard only has 9.
that’s averaging 1 per week
Not that big of a difference. Their stats look eerily similar.
@@reggied5108but Howard has the advantage at every stat. Interceptions: Howard - 9, Ewers - 11.
TDS: Howard - 32, Ewers - 29
Yards: Howard - 3490, Ewers - 3189.
Howard has 300 more yards and has 2 less receptions than Ewers, Howard is clearly more effective.
@@SchuStudEwers missed 3 games with an injury
They win if Texas kidnaps Ohio States entire WRs room. 😂😂😂 Texas has not had to play a team that throws well other then maybe Clemson
They could win if they forget to bring quinn or find alladin's lamp
Y’all can sit here and podcast all day long in your echo chamber. You don’t play the game. Wait and watch 😂 Texas is dead meat or grilled Bevo steaks soon
What’s funny is yall are talking all this shit like they are invincible all of a sudden yet they are 2 games removed from losing to Michigan who’s barely a .500 team
@ it’s getting old. Live in the past while we live in the moment and future. Dominance is dominance. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
@@ovdman how the hell is something that happened 2 games ago living in the past? That’s actually pretty relevant
@ today is ummm I don’t know Jan 6th and we’re about to play 3rd game after it? I dunno. How past do you want? 😂😂😂 Guess you don’t know talent development or game plan buildout much huh.
@ I would agree with what you’re saying if the game was played in week 1 or 2 but was literally 2 games ago. A little over a month ago. Sure Ohio state has had 2 great playoff games but don’t act like something that happened a month ago can’t happen again
