1.if there is any change in basic salary later.? 2. How do we know an employee is going to work how many years..? In both of these cases how we will show currect gratuity payable in each financial year..?
First of all we have to make provision for each month on the basis of current salary and if later any change in salary structure have to recalculate and pass journal entry to same account
if the contract is unlimited then 1 to 3 years is 7 days salary eligible = 1/3 salary of 21 days = 7 days 3 to 5 years is 14 days eligible = 2/3 salary of 21 days = 14 days above is applicable if a person worked between 1 to 5 years. if anyone worked above 5 years then up to 5 years 21 days salary eligible and after 5 years 30 days salary eligible Please note gratuity calculation is based on basic salary of last withdrawn.

Thanks.... Pls clarify how to calculate if a person cancelled fourth years?
if the contract is unlimited then
1 to 3 years is 7 days salary eligible = 1/3 salary of 21 days
= 7 days
3 to 5 years is 14 days eligible = 2/3 salary of 21 days = 14 days
above is applicable if a person worked between 1 to 5 years.
if anyone worked above 5 years then up to 5 years 21 days salary eligible and after 5 years 30 days salary eligible
Please note gratuity calculation is based on basic salary of last withdrawn.
