The worst hard landing I ever experienced was on an American Airlines DC-9 coming out of a ninety-degree turn just before the runway at SNA. Into the turn, the flight was low enough to see individual roof tiles on people's houses. Once out of the turn and lined up, the pilot cut the engines at about thirty feet and the aircraft fell onto the runway, bouncing once before the nose touched the ground and activating the spoilers. People throughout the cabin let out a "woah" as we fell. I was pretty furious. If I didn't need to be somewhere, I'd have stuck around to let the pilot have it.
damn, that was a hard landing
Was that you reacting from the landing? If so, that landing hurt...
