Great viewing as always, I use method feeders for everything, just change the size & weight depending on what I’m fishing for , from roach to king carp , method feeder does it all 😂🎣, ….. ps I do use the float rod as well 😂😂🎣🎣
Poor fish, The red blood vessels in its fins are a sign of stress. Probs high ammonia from buckets of bait been thrown into such a small pond. Great vid as always. It's always typical (esp with me) that as soon as your busy eating or drinking you get a bite haha
nice video mat!...all my feeder work now is on alarms ...with the ics interchange stems..its so versatle to change rigs and feeders in seconds !...theres some brilliant tackle around these days...anyways ya didnt blank ..tight lines to you and ya dad...
Awesome channel this might be of use to you for quick changing hook lengths check out the clam lock quick change swivels on bank tackle might save buying tubing and they fit the ngt method feeders being size 8 so might fit other feeders I am getting some and someone landed a 29 pound plus carp using them so there strong to let me know you opinion keep fishing tight lines love your channel tonnes learning loads getting an outfit Monday even the Caperlan chair.
I've usually been more into natural baits but.... on your recommendation I got a pack of 6mm washed out bandum wafters. Never had a busier session, thanks I love it.
I don’t think you are the only one who has bought some pink washed out and had a brilliant session. I’m yet to find a bait that equals pink washed wafters in effectiveness. For quick bites anyway 👍🏻🎣
You should visit Denmark, we don't have any coarse lakes, but loads of sturgeon lakes, with fish to over 200 pound in at least one of them.btght lines. 😊
@@jesperjepsen8774 no your English is great ! Armour bream 😂😂 that’s funny ! Sturgeon lakes are very hard to find over here, they are not legal to stock the environment agency don’t like it. Especially if it’s close to a river 🎣 which is a shame as I love sturgeon 😣
That’s a tough question because I do enjoy fishing with my feeder rods on the tip ! Though I do like the laziness of fishing on alarms and it’s much easier for filming 👌🏻🎬
Just watching this now and I went to it at the end of march and was taking to someone who knows the person who owns it and he has tuck the sturgeon out was gutted as I wonted to get one lol but still like watching what you do tho mate
Cheers Westy, I just checked your video on the Capelan chair. I have a Korum chair with a feeder arm that has one point of fix, it wobbles like mad, the two points of fix and the leg will sort that out. Prestons make one, thanks for the info.
@@WestysAngling just to add, I am 70 years old and have fished for 55 years. We didn’t have fancy rigs and bait like today, we had to be inventive. So when I saw ready pellets, I thought, what a good idea. Of course, I am not saying buy them, no, but keep an open mind, and they have got very good reviews. I have used them ( three days ago had carp to 20 lb ) used today one carp 7lb, this is also dependent on weather, venue and amount of line in water. But, I can say every time I have used them on the method, I have caught. No I am not sponsored , I just like passing on a bit of help, before I cannot fish any longer. Good luck, and look after your dad, you only get one.
Hi The Sturgeon you spoke of are no longer in this water, the info on places just never gets updated for anglers to have a true picture which is not so good. I currently fishing a group of lodges advertisement state’s small amount of Grass Carp told by anglers fishing here none pulled out in last 12 months and 23 died last year along with many other carp dew to herpesvirus but no mention of these facts when you pay your large amount of money to stay and fish, communication is king us anglers can paint a truer picture guessing many travel to try and catch the Sturgeon here but wouldn’t if better communication
Just believe that if people are committing facts to video it as to be the correct true facts not just Chinese wisps it’s not right that anglers May travel large distances to catch a different species that doesn’t even exist in that said water.
Sturgeon are always going to be Chinese whispers…because they are illegally stocked in most of these fisheries and if the environment agency get a grip they would have to be removed. It’s the fisheries job to make sure the information is up to date and relevant. Personally if I wasn’t sure I would call the fishery.

I don’t think there is a more effective fishing technique
Bait boat reminds me of 'Tales of the river bank '
Fished this last weekend had a 21 pound common
Another boss video mate keep it up 🎣👏
At least you never blanked..good sesh mate👍
Great video westy as all ways😀💪

Probably why the sturgeon died there ! Very sad. It’s why I thought the subtle approach would be better 👌🏻👍🏻

That sounds amazing ! I would love to do something like that 👌🏻🎣
We call them armor bream, cors they take the bait before the carp.
Sorry for my poor English.

Another great video pal 👌
Quick one on the worm rig set up???
With the amount of worms you tied on would it pop up with that weight???
Cheers 🎣🎣🎣
Mega buoyant that foam I have mate ! Would pop up a brick I think 😂
@@WestysAngling 🤣🤣🤣👌
You can open the trap door and put your rig through and close it and drop it from the trap door thought you might not know works well
What a treat for Saturday morning ✌️ well done good carp in the net again !

Luv the videos ! Keep them coming! Quick question what’s you shelter please!
It’s a Korum pentalite brolly shelter 👌🏻
@@WestysAngling thank you for getting back to me ! Much appreciated 👌👍
Hey Pal, just wanted to ask what size hooks are you using on a specimen lake just thought I'd ask.
Usually 8 or 6 depending on the size of fish being targeted !
That weird fish? Was a fan tail
I think so !! Definitely a fancy goldfish !

Me too ! Sturgeon waters are limited for us 😣
Hi Westy, what is the feeder arm you use on your chair?
It comes with the chair Mark 👌🏻🪑

Hi mate, just a quick question, what is the bait boat you are using? Seems to be a good one !
It’s not bad ! Also very cheap ad far as bait boats go 👌🏻👍🏻 there is a product review of it on my channel 🎣
Don't be so nasty WESTY that fish has a mother somewhere.hehe
Another great vid m8, were looking to fish stoat hall next weekend, how much for a day ticket for 2 rods on the speci pond ?
£15 I think Neil ! I’m all honesty though I’d probably give it a miss. There are better places 👍🏻👌🏻 or maybe just fish the normal lake 🎣
@@WestysAngling thanks for your honesty m8. 15 quid is a bit much when you consider where it is and there a lot better places around it
Exactly !!!
Why not try method ready pellets from spotted fin ?
Haha are you promoting them Paul 😂
@@WestysAngling no mate, they work. Just want to help.

Putting trawlers net on the bait boat would be cheating !
