I find president Nixon increasingly interesting and as I get older I think i would have voted for him as my dad did.

Same. Great at foreign policy. A shame he allowed his insecurities and other things to get the better of him.

Arguably the US' best foreign policy president of the 20th Century.

I had seen part of this Harrison Salisury interview with Nixon before but never the entire thing!! There is a PBS video from about 1980-82 that is the history of US - Soviet relations and it has all of the characters - George Kennan, Thomas J.Watson Jr., Averell Harriman. Need to find that as I have it on VHS and someday it will degrade and break.

The library has an upcoming lecture series: Becoming America:
How We Gained and Secured Freedom and Self-Government
It’s time to stop promoting and teaching fairy tales on subjects such as these and at the very least include at least one indigenous historian to tell the truth of their genocide and lack of freedom and self-determination, which in many respects, continues to this very day.
