We are basically living in our own narratives. We consume stories and then allow those stories to influence us. Please make more videos on Perception, Storytelling and Marketing! loving these streams.
This was so amazing wtaf I have a lot of interest in Psychology and how the brain works and this made my interest go through the roof can't wait for the next episode
Love it. Definitely want multiple parts of this. Kudos to you guys! PS: Loved Anshu's expression throughout, he was so engrossed and listening with his mouth open like a child. Loved it!
There should be more sessions in this series "Nueroscience of Marketing". Learning about how primitive brain works in modern environment is very intresting and marketing and how brands work is one of the best domain to understand how group psychology takes place in brain. So, please more such session
This has been a simple and effective way to understand science behind marketing, I would love for this gang to talk about accessibility and inclusive design , you have the right audience and it is an important topic - advertising and Visual acuity of media assets , audio access services.
I never thought that I would enjoy watching this type of content, Informative, Entertaining, and makes me wanna learn more about this Topic. Please Continue
This was a really cool episode! The consumers need neuromarketing awareness for sure. To one of the aspects that Sid covered on Cognitive Fatigue, in my experience cognitive fatigue actually helps me move out of emotional purchases. I end up buying nothing as the disgust reaches to the peak seeing the circus mela with so many brands and options. Looking forward to upcoming episodes :)
Loved this!! I would like to hear more about NeuroMarketing! I think its more engaging to watch and listen to you guys discussing about this topic than simply attending a lecture about marketing science 😄😄
On a serious note I really think Advertisement and Marketing is one of the most unhealthy things humans stumbled upon. These disciplines have the power to change civilizations without even realizing.
@@sumedhmunje4754 It's impossible to say it is pointless when advertising in all its various forms is the core of human civilization as we know it. Society has always thrived off of building artificial narratives around objects and concepts we see in the world around us. A more compelling narrative means more people rally behind your cause, shaping their individual narratives and life stories....and thus, the chain continues. Unlike other animals, the level of cognitive function we operate at allows us to band together over concepts that exist only in our collective imagination with full belief, and that's what humans built their empire on.
@@sumedhmunje4754 they were not talking about pros and cons of ads but on how it influences our behaviour not every conversation has to be turned into a classic essay polylogue.
True but advertising things like vaccinations which are needed to date isn’t such a bad thing is it. This is just one of many examples representing the pro side of advertisements.
dude you just summarized my course Neuromarketing and Consumer Neuroscience in 25 minutes. my professor quoted a best line " consumers are on autopilot mode when they go for shopping mostly in FMCG"
This is gold. Can't wait for the next part. Would be great if you guys talk more about the branding of Coke. What makes their branding so strong and all
This was a fantastic episode. I would really like to see breakdown of iconic old ads - Idea Mobile, Mentos. Why did they worked and are still stuck in our brain??
My fav takeaway line "there's a difference in what people actually like and what they think they like" I guess as a generation we need to spend more time with ourselves without external influence and get to know what we actually like and that seems so impossible in the fucking god damn age of social media.
Excited! To see other parts too tanmay. And plz discuss how marketing works in buisness does it start before, what & how of making a product or bas Banya toh bechne mai hype, brand , sales kareneka kaam hota hai!? Do discuss about all brand do marketing but how only some standout and have an impact on audiences.. I've read all seth Godin books, lots of question I have to chat with you ❤️ marketing is really a gem of topic to learn
Last mein wo colour wala logic was 'Supr' awesome! Why u fucking didn't invite Sid to Supr team earlier! Fuckin genius guy with lots of knowledge! Definitely want more videos from him around this thing and on more topics!
Tanmay can you extend the topic about: why is it that marketing of apple succeeding comparing to others like 1+ or lot of Android companies, they have amazing phones , cheaper , long lasting ( comparison to lot of older model of iPhone) and still has a decent marketing Wouldn't the dopamine be much more higher with so many great qualities in an phone. Why is that an iPhone is proceeding with the major US market and most of the nation's and not other companies as much? Still comparely lagging in India.
Lovely. Would like to hear about marketing related to education- schools or colleges.. You are doing an amazing work with the content you make Tanmay.. be it games.. finance.. or comedy. Keep up the great work! Love you!
Point about influence of colour used in marketing materials and assets is spot on. However did you know 1 in 12 men are color blind , there is a lot that advertisers can do to make their ads reach wider audience by making right creative choices.
Man loved it 🚀🚀 It is very interesting and very informative 😄 thank you Sid for an amazing information and can't wait for the second part. Also thanks to Tanmay (The OG) for arranging such insightful stream 🚀🚀👍 loved it ❤️
Yeah Ikr, i have read this books of habits by Charles duhiggs where the neurological analysis was explained like how pepsodent gave people habit of brushing marketing involved with neurological science and why they put up free samples and conduct these experiments. It's really sometimes shocking to feel that brains controls us and not the other way around (mostly).
I sometimes buy expensive clothes because my sister would make fun of me if I don't, these brands don't even have to appeal you sometimes other people do it
Insightful, as always. - Would like you touch on Skinner's Box experiment and if that has any application in marketing. - Also the 'Hooked' model that habit-inducing digital products adopt - how does the model get applied in marketing? Cheers!
Actually loved the stream, very intresting topic Also , i have a question tanmay it would be nice if you could ask this question to the pannel especially Dr.Sid My question is: we are shifting towards a healthy lifestyle as a society, none of the salads we eat give us as much dopamine as fast food does. We are still choosing that over mc donalds , which has unbelievably good marketing.
This is what 1st day of any commercial psychology student looks like. Mind blown, don't go by the words of others simultaneously know yourself more, micro manage everything cause they want to take your hard earned money. It's fun.
We are basically living in our own narratives. We consume stories and then allow those stories to influence us. Please make more videos on Perception, Storytelling and Marketing! loving these streams.
on the contrary, none of us are living our own narratives, power and the people at the helm of it feed and propagate the narratives.
Ansh bhai❤
Loved this one. Would also like to hear political marketing from you guys.

I never thought that I would enjoy watching this type of content, Informative, Entertaining, and makes me wanna learn more about this Topic. Please Continue
Loved it being a marketer I always wanted something like this to be there for people to understand what it actually means when we say marketing.
I would love to extend this into a debate of "does free will really exist?"
Short answer: Based on what people generally mean when they say free will - no it doesn't exist.
It was your own free will which made you wrote this answer so it's counter-intuitive
in consumer culture? it exists but for the person who does not want to buy anything😂😂
Itne time baad neuroscience dekhke occipital lobe khush ho gaya

On a serious note I really think Advertisement and Marketing is one of the most unhealthy things humans stumbled upon. These disciplines have the power to change civilizations without even realizing.
Hated how the conversation never went to the complete pointlessness of it.
