Narrator's voice was tape-saturated ;) Sounds great you guys!
Great Tapes emulations! Better than UAD for my taste. Depth, warmth, colour, analogue feel. Just try it and listen. Wooooow!
I Love this collection, is pretty close to the original stuff and if there's a good mix you cant tell the diference, love it specially for harsh sounds, it trims them while bringing the sound to life.
I cut my Teeth on a pair of MCI JH-24s and a MCI JH636 console. The JH-24 was the only Tape machine that could produce the fattest most thunderous drums you have ever heard, and you never had to de-ess a vocal on the JH-24 it smoothed out harsh sibilants every time. I never used a Bus compressor until we moved away from the JH-24 and onto DAT because the natural compression from the MCI would just hold a mix together perfectly! I can't wait to pick this up!
Ditto. I loved that machine.
Mmmmm, the JH-24!
Finally, someone made a Studer A-80 plugin!!!
At least one that models the full characteristics of the whole tape machine, rather than one or two aspects of it :)
Someone started production of another car design this year.
I compared it to a real pro tape machine and to me you guys did a fantastic job that equals the best tape plugins or bests them. My only complaint is that you guys didn't release this one sooner!
P.S. This video is great...I absolutely love the detailed shots of the modeled machines.
How does this compare with Slate digital?
@@Triumphinchrist1 I like them both. Slate doesn't have a lo-fi tape machine and this one does. I think that IK has more of a tape effect than Slate. I guess where the transients are brought out more during normal operating levels and they are rounded off as the tape machine and tape saturates at higher levels.
Slate is easier to operate and uses up a lot less CPU so I use it more but IK's plugins go on the important tracks.
amazing plugins . really perfect on the mix.
I've been waiting on this!!!! Finally!
Man damn, I been purchasing plugin and sound packs all week. Would've just saved my bucks had I known this was coming out. Gotta get this tho'💪
Great, everything I needed to know

Is there a gang function for all tracks to be controlled? Is there a key modifier for controlling the input and output knobs simultaneously?
Nice
Any good comparison between this and UAD's Ampex mastering tape?
I'm a huge fan of Ampex but never bought it because I'm afraid to get sucked into the ecosystem.
IK's a80 sounds close to UAD Ampex on default settings with 456 tape, but not even closer than Waves Kramer with some tweaking. IK's Ampex not even close sounds to UAD version.
@@antonfirtich thank you for the input! the Kramer by Waves is what I ended up using. Appreciate you.
Let me review for you guys
Is the tape machine 99 a master tape machine or a multitrack tape machine???
No Kudelski Nagra III?
Where i can find sidechain in T-RackS plugins?????
is this something that I use on individual tracks, or just put it on my mix once my song is ready?
You can do both!
I personally use these during what I call the mix prep stage. That's where I use very CPU intensive plugins to get the highest quality tonality baked into my recorded tracks. Doing things this way makes mixing so much easier.
Any plans for an iOS version?
Who does the music tracks? I'd actually listen to that!
Found them. Funny how I thought their sound reminded me of Genesis and it turns out it's Phil Collins' son's band. Wow.
Yea it was dope
Have you tried out any of the tape plugins yet? If so how are they
Is this tape collection available for iPad?
Not at this time but there are some tape-based effects in MixBox for iPad
No Teac models available?
Not at this time. For what some consider similar but better in analog circles, you might want to try the Tape Machine 99.
IK did some TEACs 2 years after you posted.
