I live in Calgary Canada and I recently had a friend and his Punjabi girlfriend over for dinner. When sharing about her culture with us, she kept referring to Diljit as the true representative of Punjab. She kept saying that "this man is doing a lot for our culture and our community - the way he represents us and his stardom is something else". And I can see why she said that :)
Panjabi is beyond a language, culture/dress... though these can be a part of it. But Panjabi truly in it's essence is about connecting to/ awakening the heart of a person ❤
2020 event he's talking about: When punjabi farmers were out protesting and all celebrities fell in line behind the indian government and sikhs began to be all labeled as Khalistanis & even Diljit himself was continuously attacked. It was in that moment that Diljit realized nobody else is coming to the aide of the Punjabi community, that they must win that battle themselves- which they did. I’m a huge fan of Diljit. When I saw him on Jimmy Fallon, I lost my sh** lol! Easily my favorite music artist now. There is just something so different about him than other Indian artists. This guy literally has lord Brahma sitting right next to him !! My grandmother used to say that Lord Brahma just randomly keeps saying Tathastu so always say good things. it was her way of telling us that we should never speak anything negative becs if Brahma says tathasstu then the bad thing might just become reality. I’m a huge fan of Diljit. When I saw him on Jimmy Fallon, I lost my sh** lol! Easily my favorite music artist now. There is just something so different about him than other Indian artists. Sadly I don’t understand Punjabi, but I don’t even care, his voice is amazing and he overall is a vibe. Inviting, humble, and kind - like Sikh people in general. Punjabi aa gaye oye 🤘🤘

ज्यादा मैच्योर, बातों में ज्यादा ठहराव
( परंतु मैं चंचल दिलजीत भाई को ज्यादा मिस करता हू परंतु ठीक है हर एक की अपनी जर्नी है )
सुचरिता जी आपने काफी सही सवाल पूछे और सबसे बड़ी बात उनके जवाब में जो आपने पर्याप्त समय दिया उनको अपनी बात कहने का वो आज कल के पॉडकास्ट में देखने को नही मिलता।
बीच में भिन्न भिन्न सवाल पूछे परंतु फिर भी मुझे व्यक्तिगत रूप से ये पूरा इंटरव्यू एक नदी के बहाव की तरह लगा ।
आज आप भी थोड़ा भावुक हो गई तो ये देख के भी अच्छा लगा की आप अपने काम के प्रति कितने ज्यादा सजग और गंभीर है।
इस पूरे इंटरव्यू में मेरा पसंदीदा मोमेंट है एक तो मेनिफेस्टेशन वाला और दूसरा दिलजीत भाई द्वारा लापता लेडीज और सोल्जर मूवी पे बात 😊
