The gold in the center looked so different when it dried. I really liked it when it was wet. The colors and composition are fantastic. I really like the hard edges on the blowouts. Great job.

Looks like cream blending with black coffee, looks delicious.
Yum! I was thinking dessert... I see caramel, chocolate, coffee, crême brulée or custard. Either way, delicious! I think the composition of some pieces lean toward soft whispy edges in the blowout and other pieces lead toward a more definitive line like this. With the darker browns I like the more definitive line that you have.

I personally would paint the negative space but it’s a stunning piece that someone would love so I think you should let it live and just paint another one 😉

It’s absolutely beautiful. Black may look better than gold but I don’t think you could have gotten the other without the gold. Beautiful

Gorgeous! 💖 I actually really like the sharper edges in this piece, and I think the gold will be perfect in the right place. Don't change it - do a "sister painting" with black negative space other than gold and see how you feel about that 😉

I agree with you Erica I would paint the negative space black as well. My eyes go to the center for some reason. Yeah too much gold for me too. But I do love the colors and the composition for sure!!!!

I love the shimmer and balance with the metallics. I, personally, would have used a tad more bronze or copper for contrast. But that's the beauty of freedom. I can try this out for myself.
