Tracking Skate Block Hybrid - Tower Rescue Training

This video is a review of a tracking line being used with a skate block line in order to get the package out farther from the structure than what a twin tensioned skate block system would allow but still less than having a twin tracking line setup. in this system the tracking line is used along with a Petzl ASAP making it a hybrid system acting as a tracking line offset and a belay.

why would you put the asap on the victim instead of on the ground above the descenders?

Because otherwise the victim wouldn't be connected to the track line.

What is the rescue plan if the blue line fails and the victim is hanging from his ASAP on the green line?

What if you don't have an asap? Is there a substitute for it?

Unfortunately, right now there is no substitute. It is the only product that will reliably catch on a tensioned line.
