It’s so crazy because after I found out my husband was cheating I was driving home from work the day I was packing my stuff to move out and this song came on the radio and I related to it 100% word for word. As someone who just left an abusive relationship, whom I had discussed having kids with and supported financially for over a year. This song hits me hard. Everytime I tried to end it before he would guilt me into taking him back. I started to think to myself that I could never have kids him because I would never be able to trust him alone with them. I hid the abuse for over a year from friends and family, and one day it just all came pouring out. I ran, and I'm never going back.

What makes this a powerful song is, when she says " I'm glad i never had a baby with you" . I bet millions of girls who were feeling hopeless after a serious relationship came to an end felt free with that line. Sometimes you still feel like you're supposed to be loyal to your ex , the reality that you're no longer together doesn't set in.
