He still has a ton to improve as a scorer. His foot work getting into his jumper could give him even more separation

his confidence is unshakable simple as that.

If JV doesn't give him dirty looks, he would be scoring 70 a night from 90 field goal attempts. The kid loves to shoot

Really?!? Did you not watch the video? It's absolutely NOT as "simple as that." I'd say it's more so the countless nuanced and refined scoring skills he's perfected over years and years.... which this video just explained very clearly and in great detail.
If all it took to score 40+ points in three straight NBA games (at age 21) was "unshakeable confidence simple as that".... many other people would be doing it. There are a lot of confident 21-year-olds in the world. I'm 100% certain it's his elite scoring skillset, which was literally just explained clearly and succinctly in this video. It's not just confidence.... and it's absolutely NOT simple.
How is that your takeaway from a 7.5 minute detailed breakdown???

@@brodiestephens419 he’s put in the work which leads to his confidence. it’s apparent in his play i’ve watched him since oak hill relax.

@@brodiestephens419 the NBA is full of talented players who can score. A lot of them have the same or better ability than Cam. The difference is Cam doesn't go into his shell if he misses a shot. He keeps going. One person will call this unshakeable confidence, the other calls it poor shot selection. When it goes in, everyone is on the Cam bandwagon. When the shots do not fall, there will be people who will get on his back for it. Russell Westbrook is exhibit A of this. He won an MVP based on high volume low efficiency shooting.

I’ve been praising cam for a long time now just seeing him in spurts and I swear every time I say something to myself you come out with a video for it I’m glad I’m not alone, you definitely have one of the best eyes for true basketball skills and techniques!

I believe the confidence he has comes from the hard work he puts into his game. Mikel Bridges once said during an appearance he made on a podcast that thing thing that impressed him the most about Cam was how he practices all the shots fans have seen him take in games. Hopefully he gets alot of minutes moving forward.

At this point, I think team scouts just hone in a few talent and never bother anymore until draft day. Cam's stock was shooting up before the draft yet he ended up 27th.

  • @doc-vg9lq

I feel like half the team hates when he shoots. they all think of themselves as scorers and you got this one guy chucking more hard shots than anybody that needs iso's. coach doesn't like iso'ing either. even if he's proven he can do it i feel they still hate on it. i see it in their body language.
