I've visited Turkey 3 times (1997, 1999 and 2014). It helps to know a little Turkish to enjoy and communicate with the locals which I picked up with my Turkish friends while working In Saudi Arabia. I think I've covered a great extent the country from Edirne in the northwest to Antakya in the south (Antioch in Biblical times. It is where the first disciples of Christ were called Christians). Also, in the Kurdish areas in the southwest like Diyarbakir and Mardin where there is a sizeable Christian community. Turkey is fascinating and I would like to go back and possibly visit again those places, I've been before specially during my first visit. I've seen more of Turkey than the Philippines and it's really a shame but..... One thing that one should not forget to totally expereince the country - try the hamam but not those touristy one in the major cities like Istanbul. Go the the smaller cities and towns and experience an authentic one where you see locals and not tourists doing it. Thanks for featuring Turkey and I hope you'll feature the Christian sites like Bergama, Izmir, Antakya, Tarsus, Mardin (Pergamom, Smyrna - two of the 7 churches mentioned in Revelation)
