Nicole, thanks again for letting us see your beautiful homestead! Can't wait to move in to our property near by you guys. And I'm super excited to be able to expand my garden as well and to have chickens and other animals. Good to know I know you guys now that has experience and knowledge being a homesteaders. Great channel you guys have here I've watched 6 videos so far I'm learning a lot now from you guys channel.
I learned to use my plastic step in the ground horse fence posts that are 5' tall above the ground, put clothes line at top do 2 rows and put my frost cloth on to prevent the frost/freeze from touching the fall tomatoes or pepper plants. & remove in morn.
I have been doing this for years. I have it permanently fixed on my huge deck. I have my greenhouse plastic on a roller. I don't cut it into pieces. I have it big enough to come to the floor and I just fold it over.
Looks worth the experiment! Another UTUBE channel called Black Gumbo gardens in Southern Texas. You may find some interesting info there. He actually gardens 3 seasons of various veggies, always seems to have something ready to pick. I think his soil may be like yours. Love the sweet potato harvest!
How cold does it get in your area at winter? I would think this would work as long as it doesn’t drop below 40 degrees. I wouldn’t think it gets to cold down there
Enjoyed
Glad to hear

That's a pretty cool option

I'm thinking about making it permanent
Remember that on 70 degree days we get in the winter here in Florida you may have to open up the green house so it doesn't get too hot
Yessir. I usually open it once sun comes up
The Kids give the Peppers some more warmth at night lol maybe they should sleep in there till spring
Survival skills!!

I'll have to check them out
How come we never see the animals anymore would love to see your animals and what’s happening on the farm
You're right, we need to get more animal videos done

It'll drop into the 30's a few days out of the year.
Do you pickle your peppers dry them or both
Fresh, dry, pickle... all of it. We love peppers
How cold does it get there in the winter?
Hoping to get some freezes. But it stays fairly warm. It's been in the 30s overnight a few times
Use the "greenhouse" to start NEW pepper plants. You'll regret doing your way. You be very disappointed 😞 New plants started in very early spring
All depends on the last freeze. We'll likely start new ones beginning Jan

We're gonna try that as well
