I would love to see some of these features be added to the djm 900 refresh . Few zonks would be the filter LPF and HPF would be awesome to be able to also have an option to play them at the same time ( using the nob left 2 right ) . The other issue I have is the Ethernet link I wish they had individual link connections for the channels 1-4 for cdjs . Other then that awesome product and I’m looking forward to trying it out in the coming month
Hello, Thank you for this video ! I have a question about the Roll Effect on the V10.... I can't find how to assign the roll effect to other channels like on the old DJM's. Can you please explain how because I couldn't find any information about that ! Thank you
I suggest you with the same mates for introduce djm 3000 or 1000 5000 the old school ones with history of the brand and the product evolution that be great. Hello from France.
Thanks so much I was about to return it, but you answered the only question. No one not even the biggest store around here could help me with. How to kill the entire track with eq. By using the master Isolator! 100% of my frustration is gone lol. Thanks!! I can now start posting some of my own mixes finally haha. Great review. I subscribed
I think many DJs do this simply because they already own some decent RCAs. However if you can afford this setup (not to mention present it on YT) then just get some solid S/PDIF cables ffs. :-D
I have a Zoom F6 to record my mixes. This recorder only uses XLR inputs. However, the V10 mixer only has RCA for record out. What do you recommend for me to use (cable wise) to record from this mixer to my recorder? Gonna use to record at home not at a venue. Was thinking Mogami RCA to XLR. Not sure though. Thanks for your input.
I just received mine and it is a BEAST. However, the IO capability over usb is not quite there yet. It’s currently not available to any of my Dj apps or DAWs in OSX. I believe pioneer needs to push out a firmware or driver update and FAST!
Did this ever get resolved... I wanted to get one of these and hook up 3 computers (2 through the A and B and one through an SL4),,,, if this doesn't work, if kind of defeats the whole purpose...... What version of OS X are/were you using...?
@@neopunkmusic one thing of note, if using multi IO to bring a signal INTO a channel, it seems to omit the sends, eq, etc. like “just a direct signal to channel” sort of functionality. I think the recording TO a mobile device is my current favorite thing, but I believe you can configure an iPad as send/return over multi. I have not tried yet.
I like how pioneer went the route of NOT making it flashy and bright. almost went the Allen and heath/model 1 way. Just solid black with most no lights or like yellow blue white etc etc lol. Its not that I didn't like it, but it makes me feel like they concentrated on quality over aesthetics.
Guys I would like to record straight from the mixer into Ableton. I have installed the drivers and it is recognising the V10 as ASIO and can select as the sound card. The midi light lights up indicating there is a signal, it says it is connected in the hardware setup but I cant get any audio to come through to Ableton. I am not bothered about individual channels I just want to record the master out straight into a Wav file - Any ideas?
Anyone else not sold simply because no individual filter switches for each channel? You literally have to choose between LPF or HPF for all 6 channels simultaneously.
It looks like you can only have 1 type of filter on all channels at a time. If you select lowpass, it is low pass on all channels and cannot have another channel doing a high pass. Is this correct?
@@GetintheMix Thanks for clarifying! The best feature on this IMHO is the compressor knob so you can play tracks from any era. Where it falls down for me are this lack of 2nd filter and I'm not sure about the effects. At this price point this feels like it doesn't cover all the bases. I'm also looking at the One 96 and DB4. What I really want is a 6-channel DB4 -- love the looper, 4 fx units, and filter per channel. This seems really complete to me. So now the question is more channels and analog (96) vs. what could be a killer fx box (DB4). I'm a producer mainly and not really a DJ.
This mixer is going to be the new techno dj mixer IF the sound quality is the same or even beter than the A&H Xone:96 and Play Differently Model 1. I would love to use it on my podcasts but for me, the price is way to high!
Poor Sammy, he knows this gear like the back of his hand but is forced to listen to this blokes sarcasm whilst simply trying to do his job. not one time james opened his mouth and added valuable info to the review. Pioneer ought to give sammy more credit for how damn good he is at selling anything, and not put him through these reviews. If it wasn't for Sammy and his confidence in this brand, dropping big Ks online for plastic computers wouldn't be so easy. lets be real, no one needs this thing to DJ, its purely a club install... but the way sammy personalizes the reviews and shows you how the item works in the real world for him truly makes a difference. he's not a picky bitch, he knows 4 band EQs are overkill for 99.9% of the DJs playing today, but he keeps it real for those like himself who understand what this means, what this is for. kids sammy cant tell you this but its in his eyes if you look deep enough; don't buy this just because it has more buttons, it will hurt your performance if you don't crave it like water. until you understand why you need this, you don't need it yet... this mixer was born out of necessity, not desire, and so will the next series of CDJs. This is for the james hype who is itching to add effects and move quickly, separating the layers in music so they are even more visible and accessible. And for the amelie lens who wants full dynamic control of specific frequencies without the compromise of quality or other tracks. its meant for people who live behind these machines and are attempting to break the boundaries of what once once known as mixing. where i come from this costs a decent car, but fuck it ill walk my v10 to the club thank you sammy once again. all hail pioneer.
i duno man.. need some real world tests.. i get degrading a high quality track down.. but if someone tried to turn a vinyl track up i bet it sounds shit ..
Haven’t watched a single decent review of this mixer in entire RUclips... none of you has tried it with real vinyl and reviewed the quality of the analog output in this machine (knowing how pioneer is usually poor in in this...) It’s really sad.
Hands down, this is the best review of the V10 on RUclips. Great work! I'm definitely buying one of these as I now understand its potential.
It’s the ultimate option. The model-1 technically “sounds better” in some ways, but the v10 is amazing otherwise/anyways
Get two bro I need one too :D
I’m planning to get that V10 now!!! The presentation was excellent very well done!!!!❤
Great video lads. I’ve got the Pioneer V10 LF ordered
Nice one! 🙏

Yeah, I’m waiting for a 900 refresh which could be like a 4-channel version of V10, that would be more appropriate for gig DJing
Great unit, now where'd I put my savings?

DUDE I saw the thumbnail and I was like, "HOLY FCK DUDE THAT SET"
I just received the DJM V10 LF and it came with a UK power cable, could I connect the Xone 96 power cable to the DJM V10? Thank you!!
will it distort if you have the 6 channels up? 4 tracks plus drums plus fx
Best review I've seen. Hopefully order mine tomorrow. Annoying the shops are closed at the moment. Im not sure if I want to v10 or the v10LF
Hi, the djm v10 is superior in build quality to the a9 ?
If pioneer make a 4 channel version of this mixer I’ll buy it
Thats called DJM900nxs2
Waiting for a 4-channel version of this too! 900nxs2 could get some of these new features...
There is no Full Kill with EQ knobs LOW/LOWMID/HIMID/HI ??? Only with Isolator???
The Ultimate Setup with the Monster 6-Channel Mixer: yeah, two Denon DJ sc5000's and a sc6000m using all six digital channels.
Wondering why didnt you use the digital ports instead of the rcas?

No one buys a pioneer mixer for quality sounding effects. One area that needs a LOT of work imo.
Very nice of them to get Justin Timberlake to come in to demo this to us! ;-0

Leah was wondering same

crossfader not adjustment for dj is very bad... pioneer update crossfader please.
Mm riding beefy knobs 🫠
At around 07:58 they agree that there have never been two independent cueing sections on a DJM when literally the last model (DJM-TOUR1) had them.
