This is what makes college football superior over everything else
That's what I'm thinking. It's not just the sport itself but everything that goes with it. Only thing that even comes close when talking about traditions is college basketball and it's still nowhere near the same level.
Danny Malzahn no what im saying is that all of these traditions are bonuses that capitalize the entertainment. Without them college football would still be as entertaining as the NFL. These traditions and the atmosphere add more though. And dont give me that “college football uses students for profit and doesn’t share it” bullshit, because these players are receiving free education and national fame
Is there really any other kind of football?
NFL, CFL, high school I guess
Would love to see the whole thing in Knoxville, the entire experience,I'd even learn Rocky Top. Been to Notre Dame, wow! Many Army games, including Navy game, always a college game fan.
I'm from Wisconsin and the jump around is absolutely insane!!! But the Iowa wave to the kids is heart wrenching man I tear up every time!! Kudo's to Iowa.
Yeah, I'm an Iowa state fan, but that's some class from Iowa
Hokie here and I just want to say the wave tradition by Iowa to the kids is a different kind of special.
Beyond that it's brutal from the opposing teams perspective. Wanna come out acting tough, well your still gonna have to stop and wave to the kids
I'm a Gamecock fan so I'm probably biased but I think our intro is the best, But Jump Around at Camp Randall has got to be a close second place. That song can make anybody go WILD. SO GETS OUT YO SEAT AND JUMP AROUND JUMP AROUND JUMP!! JUMP!!! JUMP A JUMP AROUND 😜😜😜
I've been in camp Randall stadium during Jump Around and it's truly insane. The whole place shakes!
The front 12 rows collapsed about 10 years ago.
They re-engineered to compensate for the shake; they added additional supports and strengthened existing ones as well as allowing there to be some give (like some buildings have with earthquakes) so the thing doesn't shake to pieces.
I'm a huge BYU fan and I though it was awesome when they did jump around and only BYU was jumping.
I agree and it is so AWESOME Tystie!
I always like how the commentators say the press box actually shakes during Jump Around.
Man, the Iowa one is just like, damn...
I witnessed a night game of it against Wisconsin and it is cool
Yea it's even better when you experience it and see those kids waving back
I have to say that everywhere Iowa goes on the Road they do that at the end of the 1st Quarter and it is a surreal moment!
Matthew Willis Hawkeyes baby!!!!
Y’all obviously haven’t seen Texas fight at DKR
I am an Alabama fan and a huge lifelong college football fan but nothing is better than Enter Sandman at Va Tech.
Thomas Anderson Wisconsin jump around is by far superior to anything else check out other clips of it....
Thomas, yes there is. The Army Navy March On.And then the singing of School Alma mater's at end of game. In front of their respective Corps Loser sings first as both teams stand at attention, then sprint down to winning Corps.Goal is to sing 2nd.
Rolllllllllllll Tide Roll
Thomas Anderson ikr
This may seem bias since I am a clemson fan but Enter Sandman isn’t exciting unless it’s a night game. To be fair, it was against Clemson so you know they were excited to finally have a good team come in their stadium. It’s hard to judge entrances and what unless all are night games or all are against rivals / top ranked teams.
Nothing sends chills down my bones more than hearing John Denver after a wvu win
As a Mississippi State fan I can tell you it is so loud in that stadium with all the cowbells but it's something I will never stop loving. Hail State! But one tradition in this video beat the cowbells and that's Iowa's wave to the children in the children's hospital. Must have made those kids day to have a whole stadium waving to them all in love and support for their recovery
As much as I love The White Out in Penn State, the Iowa Wave is the best thing ive seen in a long time!
literally missed the best part of Clemson's intro. the run down the hill is the mist exciting
lucas ball I know right
exactly
lucas ball IKR!!!
lucas ball- They did!!! Every announcers say its the best 25 seconds in college sports!!! Doesn't show how they ran down, and the fans going crazy!!! That wasn't right!!!!! Go Tigers!!!!
lucas ball
But it was the thumbnail
Before commenting on why a certain tradition isn't in here please check parts 2 and 3
+Calvin Stancil thanks
RSHighlights Can't believe you didn't have the Tiger Walk or The War Eagle on this one but it better on the next
+NCR Trooper ha don't worry it will be I just didn't want to many teams of one conference all together I'm just trying to split it up
RSHighlights ok
Sweet Caroline psu I'm pretty sure pitt started it but ok
I was at an Michigan State vs Iowa game in East Lansing. We did the wave even when Iowa was the away team. So cool.
The Clemson one is awesome to me because it symbolizes the ultra small town feel of the university so well, its like the most nuts high school homecoming possible
definitely the best is wvu even if you don't know them you put arms around each other we just that cool
All-Star Aviator I mean Texas A&M does that too...
Texas A&M also has a tradition were you put your arms around each other. It just wasn't in this compilation.
Any time they win a game they play it in hockey and football and basketball ink about baseball
When the Oklahoma player looks up into the crowd singing rocky top... truly legendary
Respect for Iowa being first! By the way I was at that game :)
Jacob Woodson I was at the Wyoming game
Same
Wow. Can I get your autograph?
@@kevinbushracing58 of course you can, come meet me at Kinnick buddy
you can just feel camp Randall start to rock every time house of pain starts up.
Currently watching the Wisconsin vs ND game 9/25/21 and saw the "Jump Around" segment at a neutral site. Started thinking about who has a better tradition then this and so I found this video. That Iowa game you have on your video, I remember watching that live. Seeing that for the first time, I was drunk and crying.. I then saw it on Sportscenter SVP, This best thing I've Seen today segment and he showed it again, drunk and cried again.. The Wave and Jump Around are by far are the best.
Hey! You used me video haha! Thanks for giving credit
+TylersReelFishing np
Which one?
Wait nevermind
Gigem aggies
even though ive seen VT and enter sandman so many times in person and through a screen i still get chills
I saw it in 2010 when Boise st played in vs vt at fedex field it was awesome
@@MJGOAT you have to see it at Lane stadium
@@dylpickle_vt3374 I want to see it again before I die that’s for sure. That and a penn state white out
I am a buckeye and love script Ohio before the game, Carmen Ohio after the game. Great traditions. Having said that, Wisconsin jump around is fucking epic!
I was going to say, the children's hospital wave should be on here
As an Auburn and FSU alum with their own wonderful traditions, the one by Iowa is really special...just awesome!
Country roads makes me cry every time
My favorite tradition is when people sing “Build me up buttercup” at Camp Randall. I love it!
Watching the hill run in person Clemson is amazing go tigers
Clemson's entrance has always confused me, although electrifying it compensates for not having a connecting locker room to the stadium and it still builds excitement while also putting the players at risk of injuring themselves as they jump or run down what appears to be a steep hill. Not saying it's not a great tradition because I think it may be one of, if not the coolest entrances. It's always sort of been weird to me 😂
It's the coolest because it sums up the high school football program on crack feel of the team so well.
I have been on the hill at Clemson it seems steep but it really is not.
I'm a lifelong Alabama fan and have traveled to many stadiums in the SEC to watch them play. But nothing is more exciting that "Enter Sandman" at VA-TECH
Wisconsin's "jump around" gets everyone fired up, everything else is sleepers, except
waving to the children, that's classy!
Kirk A. Perrier the FSU tomahawk chop>
Glad to say I’m 37, and been to every one of these stadiums… except for Clemson. I’ll be going there soon. Carry on
I love the West Virginia’s one
Yeah I’m a tech fan and I hate wv but I love their tradition
love the badgers and love the jump around never experienced it but its awesome
Country Roads, take me home,
To the place, I belong West Virginia,
Mountain momma,
Take me home, Country Roads
Let's go Mountanieers!!! 💛💙💛💙
Elite Gamer yessir
One of the best traditions in sports. Hope to make it to Morgantown to see it in person especially since a childhood friend just committed to WVU
AND EAT SHIT PITT
Midnight yell baby!! Ranked the #1 tradition in CFB more than once
0:52 the Dr Pepper commercial
Opening the T, another big Tennessee tradition
I'm glad Tennessee was included. Definitely one of the best fanbases out there
Absolutely ,and they can hit
a gnat on the 50 yard line from the upper deck with a mustard bottle
As a Hawkeye fan and someone who has done the wave multiple times its go to see it at the start of the video.
A&M full stadium swaying back and forth singing the fight song... never gets old
it's interesting that John Denver has 2 songs used by two teams on this list. love it
I love the Iowa wave over anything!! God bless all those precious gifts th1at fight for their lives.
Okay Iowa... right in the feels!
I’m from Iowa the wave is just special even if you hate Iowa’s guts you will always have a warm hearts at the start of the 2nd quarter
It's all awesome but what takes place in Iowa is simply beautiful & thoughtful !!
I didn't know about Iowa's tradition...that is fantastic.
I think Virginia Tech has the best one gives me goosebumps every time
Seen the Hokies entrance before, and id gladly take a flight out there just to attend a Hokies game lol
For people who don't know. The A&m one is their midnight yell where the students go to the stadium at midnight the night before a game and they just yell a lot and have fun
Ring them cowbells! I'm a Mississippi State fan, but the #2 tradition in college is West Virginia's sing Country Roads. Love that
This sent shivers up my back
At the Army Navy game, which is a stand alone game, and the last regular season college game of the year,.The winning team sings their school song last. With the other school standing at attention. I live to sing last. This is the ultimate bucket list event. SINGING LAST IS EVERYTHING,THE ONLY THING!
David Wadsworth not a military academy fan but that is A TRADITION LIKE NONE OTHER
For those on this page unaware : at the end of the game when the military academies play each other the losing academy has to stand at attention & sing their alma mater first THEN run to the OTHER SIDELINE STAND AT ATTENTION & HEAR THE WINNING SCHOOLS ALMA MATER
Im a Bama fan but to me the Iowa wave is the absolute best cfb tradition ever, i mean from the thoughtfulness to the fans ALL joining in ❤
Auburn got the best tradition ain’t nothing more badass than an eagle flying around the stadium before a home game
The good old song is one of the most underrated college tradition
Jump Around is by far the best one!
Mgruetzy 24 all you do is jump, by far the lamest
It’s literally only the student section that jumps enter sandman everyone jumps
Cowbells and don’t stop believing are the best parts of Msu games
Had to stop the video after the first one, had no idea about Iowa children's hospital
Iowa just gained a fan
band wagoner.
VL123 he just he really likes what they do for those kids he’s not a bandwagon just because their decent
@@VL1975 what other college fans do that?! How is he a band wagoner, just because he respects that? Quit being a dick whistle.
They gained one more.
enter sandman for Virginia Tech wasn't really shown...
+Marcel Colchen it's a 3 part series....
Ch
I love the Army-Navy tradition, game over,Both teams go to the loser/s side and sing the school song and then to the winner's side and sing their alma mater
I love the hill run for my Clemson Tigers but what they do at Iowa is simple amazing and my favorite!!!!!
Before every kickoff at Louisville football games, Enter Sandman by Metallica plays and everyone goes nuts. But Joker and the Thief at the end of the 3rd quarter L&N Stadium goes absolutely NUTS.
Nit an alabama fan but dixieland delight is one of the best tradition
The tradition Iowa does I think that’s really neat!
I wish the pros got into this sort of thing! I live in Wisconsin and am a Green Bay fan. The atmosphere at Lambeau is as close to a college game as I’ve seen in the pros
I can't wait to see more of this!!!!!! Part 2 and 3 and 4? Bring them on!!!!!!!!!🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
I’ve already made them
@@RSHighlights more please!!!!!! More!!!! College Football is Amazing and awesome!!!!!
The Clemson entrance is Dangerous because they could roll a ankle
omar A stfu
omar A- U a idiot!!! U just mad Clemson had it first!!!!! Go away!!!
omar A i have heard that tons of times
omar A
True thankfully doesn’t happen often
They actually practice running down the hill so that doesn’t happen lol
I know every fan thinks their home stadiums are the loudest, but I’m assuming Mississippi State was disqualified from this list because of the cowbells. Regardless, they’re allowed, and Davis Wade easily makes the top ten on sheer volume. It’s insanely loud, especially at SEC night games.
South Carolina’s sandstorm is by far my favorite!
CANES NATION here I'm not A FSU fan but they should b on the list
#2 #govols #vfl #gbo
Do sweet caroline wvu style
This guy shoulda at least put the Texas a&m marching “T”
I’m a Northwestern fan so I am jealous of these traditions
As a Mississippi State fan, I love both the cowbells and the fact that they seem to piss off everyone else to no end. Hearing loss? What’s that?
The good running for Georgia.Les vidéos sont super sympas.
DOTTING THE I!!!!! Nothing beats it.
That first one hits the feels 👌🏻
FSU should been on the list.
Wvu country roads! That's my favorite as a wv native
GZ Kaidono Everytime I see it in brings a tear. Easily one of the best traditions in sports. Really hope to make it to Morgantown soon especially since a childhood friend will be playing for WVU
jordan kendall who?
Auburn's eagle that flies around the stadium before every home game
Wvu baby maybe u should of did their Pitt chant but good job anyway
Micah Osborne eat shit pit
Eat shit pitt
Osceola and renegade are baddass
Literally the only ppl jumping in jump around is the students go see enter sandman everyone is jumping
Mr brightside at the big house is truely an out of body experience
Dixieland delight is electric
Greatest College Football Tradition happens only one a year. At the end of the game, singing LAST at the Army Navy game. The Pre -Game March ON is the 2nd best tradition. Also only happens one a year. The Commander and Chief switching sides at half time is #3.Also only happens one a year. Everything else happens weekly.
The Texas A&M one was called midnight yell
1:10 #36 is amazed... For sure a home field advantage.
Dang, that's a lot of OU fans at the Tennessee game. That's some impressive traveling, especially for a non-conference game.
Watching this first time I gave me chill bumps😅❤️
I’m a South Carolina fan. The best traditions I’ve seen in person are The Grove and the eagle fly around Jordan-Hare.
I’m an Ohio Stat fan but I think WVU has the best tradition
Grant Amos or one of the best
I am a Illinois fan and Ohio State dotting the I is the best tradition
When he can't spell Ohio right
Timothy Wilson u realized the u of M created the script Ohio
He did spell "Ohio" right...?
The traditions that don't rely on pre-recordings being pumped in are always the better ones.
Dixieland delight made it!!! 😂 classic
Alabama has the real walk of champions
“Oh rocky top, you’ll always be.. home sweet home to me,”
Everyone should go to a Tennessee game.
Not if they lose to Georgia State 38-33.....
Jackson Wright Yeah, very comedic. But they deserved it the way we played
The Army Navy Pre Game March ON. The entire crowd STANDS. And after the game ,losing team sings their school song first, withthe winning team standing at attention behind them. Then they run to the stands where the winning team fans are and do the same thing as then ,winning team sings second. Again the entire crowd STANDS
Some of these clips need to be longer in order to capture the essence of how great the tradition is. And there's no way you can capture how loud those Mississippi State cowbells are. The one I really want to see in person is the Wisconsin Jump Around. I'd be jumpin' with them!
Joe Bobb I bring my bell everytime i go to a state game, its just so heart warming when everybody does it :)
Drove to Cleveland to see my Pats play...OSU band was there and did Script Ohio...check that off the list.
It might just be cold but I have goosebumps
Dixieland Delight is the best one, but I love the Kinnick wave
A lot of people don’t know this but Texas A&M started the flag wave it’s pretty cool how over the years it would become so popular
The Oregon ducks “shout” of the motorcycle entrance should be here.
