Saw them in 84 in Chapel Hill nc, we're fucking great if your a strummer fan. I am, loved it.
Cut the Crap was my first Clash album. I said this is The Clash? Im actually quite fond of it
if you listen the bootleg, when the clash began "Spanish Bombs" the volume becomes low, the song stops and re appears kosmo that says "if they do not stop filming the show will not go on!" then the clash cut "Spanish Bombs" and continue to Clash city rockers
Man, they look like they're having fun
So powerful lyrics
Great Song!
Fantastic footage
Hey buddy, I'm from the future, I understand you are concerned about your future royalties, but without the filming, this is a small moment that exists for a second and is then gone forever. With the cameras rolling it can be enjoyed and understood by an unlimited number of people forever!!! So shut up about the filming eh?
Three Card Trick, Pouring Rain, This is England, North & South etc etc, the Clash SHOULD go on to '86 🙁
Some say it was only a matter of time they disbanded after their real driving force was fired (Mick & a bloke named Topper) ✅
The end of road for the Clash 1985
Cut the crap is so under rated. This version is not all that, but still a rare treasure...
Why in the world did Kosmo have to come in and ruin this? I just hope more footage of another Clash II show pops up some day, hopefully soon.
Roskilde -85 , I swear i was there .
"I'll eat my hat."
The link is broken, could you please reupload it?

And This Is England & North And South! @@gerauldvellabrincat2776
This is England 🏴 was a good song most the The Cut The Crap Album is what it says on the tin CRAP💩
I can't understand how anyone can honestly think this is terrible. I know that's what we're supposed to say, but seriously? Just because it's more commercial sounding and in tune (No offense to Mick, I love his playing and singing in the Clash) does that make it terrible? Each to their own I guess, but this song is a total classic to my ears.
Chingoneria
CUT THE CRAP said enough with it's title. A painful record from the band that granted us with LONDON CALLING
I had the bootleg of this entire show and they sounded terrible to be fair...
At that time they we flogging a dead horse... as Strummer said later. Thanks to the uploader but this show is pathetic :(
It's a good job someone disobeyed that man's order not to film the show: how else would we in the future get to see how terrible this version of The Clash really were?
+Dan Thompson i saw them 3 times , with that line up -& 4 times with the true line up -----and ..yes ...no game ...the original Clash was a hurricane compared to this ---ciao
Dan Thompson
You're wrong. Mark II were great!
@@vadermasktruth No they weren't. At their very best they were not completely awful.
whatever one's opinion of the MkII stuff is it's amazing that this footage even exists. There can't be any other stuff anywhere
Nah I just dont buy it. This idea that the Clash 2 were rubbish is a myth that gets endlessly repeated and one that Joe himself even bought into, probably because he felt guilty about what happened with Mick and to some extent Topper.... but Joe and all these people are wrong. Sorry Joe.
The Clash 2.0 was still a great band and they had some great songs and an AWESOME back catalogue. Of course it was different, but Cut The Crap is great and live it was interesting. The Clash was so good by that point that even a weaker version of their prior selves was far more interesting than most of what was going on in 1985.
That is just my opinion of course and I love the Combat Rock era too, even post Topper, so what do I know, but one day I can see Cut the crap getting some recognition and maybe even becoming a cult favorite.
I think of Clash 2.0 as like a Proto-Mescaleros. But with better dress sense
I saw them at Bonds in Time Square NYC back in '81. I thought they were pretty lame by that time. It just wasn't the band I saw in the film "RUDE BOY." This lineup was even more pathetic.
