i worked for brindley ashphalt in the early 80s and we still had an old coke mixer on the firm which was used when very busy, fantastic on cold mornings cooking food,,untill one morning when we arrived at 7-30 to find the mixerman panicking and shouting that kids had pulled the banjo mixer door open and emtied thge 3 ton mixer on the road ,fire brigade and police every where...

Holy shit guys!!! I'm from Trinidad W.I. and I worked with a crew who did this work. It was hard work and the worst part was when that hot mastic fell in your shoe!!! AHHHHH...... the good ole days!!!
My supervisor had half of his index finger cut off in a previous accident. At the end of our work day we needed five more buckets of mastic to complete the job. He signaled the potman with the wrong hand.... the potman sent up four and a half buckets, turned off the pot and left!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!
George Finlay lol looks like a private tho gotta get a decent payday out of that my old man done this for 30 years all over london and its a proper mans job not like the hotmelt these days
