This has been my 4th attempt with gitpages, and your walkthrough has been the easiest attempt by far. The only hurdles I came across were the tabs. I didn't have the Git tab, so instead I did Tools> Version Control> Commit in R (only to commit, didn't establish the Git tab yet). I didn't have the Build tab either, so I went to Tools> Global Options> Pane Layout and checked the Build box. Nonetheless, thank-you so much for the tutorial! I'll be tinkering all night (:
