Wonderful project. Lots of tri-color combinations with the two black strands to select from. Wonder if using paracord fids would be an alternate to the splicing fid for the two end knots, your thoughts?
Hi, I am attempting to make a dog lead/leash and your channel has really helped me sort out the techniques. However, I have a problem: I based my cord lengths on those given in a book - "Leads and Collars" by Jacqueline Walker and I even added a little bit more, just in case. But, just by looking at my braid, I am fairly sure that I am going to run out of cord before I make the handle. The cord is 275 paracord, so I doubt that I am loosing much to having too little tension or the wrapping of the cords around one another. Is there anything I can do to add extra cordage without weakening the final product? The other option might be to finish the item with a D ring and then attach a handle to that.
@@Paracordguild I have made a sling using a variation of paracord weaving - made from a single length of 550 paracord and it works quite well even though the finger cords are each only a single thickness of 550 cord. The technique should be easily searchable online. I suggest looking at them even if you decide to braid a sling. Braiding might make the thumb loop more comfortable and the trailing end easier to grip, but my the paracord version allows the pouch to be shaped around the projectile to some extent.
Beautiful. I've never done kymikumi but it has a nice finish.
The braid is kumihimo, essentially a weaving. The finishes are nautical knots- The Footrope knot and the Diamond knot.
Hmmm, I might actually be able to do this project. Nice job 👍🏾

Hi!
Lacing needle is absolutely a good alternative!

It works.
@@Paracordguild Thank you so much. You have saved me hours of work.
Really nice, thanks.
Hello, Beautiful leash. What is the total length of the leash?
Hey!
The leash that I made was about 100cm or about 3 1/2 feet. Naturally, using longer cords will give you a longer leash.
@@Paracordguild Mulțumesc frumos!
Love to see you do a braided full or split pouch rock sling or both ;)
I have been following the slinging scene. There are just so many sling styles out there- it is hard to choose :).
@@Paracordguild Do a typical full pouch or split pouch with round braided handles.

how long of each color did you use?
These measurements are for a 100cm (3 1/2 foot) leash. 18ft for the black ones, 15ft for the color ones.
@@Paracordguild thanks!
Good jobs 🔥
