nothings gunna happen unless its a turbo motorcycle. if it had a turbo that could do damage to the bearings in the turbo from being so hot and having no oil flow.. unless it was a water cooled turbo then it would be fine. otherwise no ignition problems would happen. straight up thats the only way the cop is going to get him to stop.

Yeah, that's theft, and since it's vehicle keys it might be considered theft of a vehicle. In my state you can lawfully use any force necessary to stop an officer from committing a felony (not saying stealing keys is a felony).

Agree with the cop. It does my head in to see so many people riding bikes without the right clothing. If you can afford a decent bike, then splash out for decent helmet, gloves and full leathers or similar. I can’t ride anymore, but when I did I always wore the full kit, and the kit gets better each year. If I were still riding, I would add neck and back protection too. I type all this from my wheelchair.

It's not just bikes they do it to in Australia, I was pulled over in my car as a "random intercept". It was the only timed I had been pulled over and had me shaking! I could tell they were trying to get me on something, but I had a clean record so they had to let me go.

Your main problem here, aside from "ignorance is no excuse for the the law", is you had the opportunity TWICE to ask law enforcement about the law, perhaps citing how you can research it and, get this...perhaps why the law is there. BTW, Washington State Patrol know traffic laws inside and out. city not so much. Also, you can also mount the cam to your bike.
