I tried finding other actual real life use with this conveyor but couldn't find any, only the company videos. I hope you get to demo it for a while to really show its capabilities. What an excellent opportunity for that company, but now we don't get to see you struggling with the green bean.
Yep they don’t have much for content out there at the moment! I hope they let me keep it for a while, it sure beats messing with the old green bean 😂
Elliott and Jake, Lots of rental places have these for digging out basements. I rent stuff from Sunbelt and they have them. Also used to move materials into a back yard for swimming pool builds with no back yard access. I would just use the supplied stand just have your welder buddy make up some longer arms for the top of it. Looks like it will work good for your operation.
I'm super excited too! I've been telling you guys you needed a different conveyor. Let's see how it works for your job..
Stay tuned for the next video where we put it up to the splitter!
Two ideas! 1. Maybe taller tires? 2. Build your own stand. Looks good to me. KC Don
Hello Jake, Nice conveyor! Wrap the bar with rubber or duct tape so the conveyor won't slip and put sand bags on the leggs.
That’s a good idea!
Good job of demoing the LinkIt conveyor, Jake. That is a sweet machine. I would love to get one. Thanks and take care! Steve
Thanks steve, it’s been working pretty well so far!
Damn straight!!!! Light, electric!!! Good task for new juice box…..shut up and split…..
Congrats on the new conveyor! It looks great. And it's very quiet!
Thank you Chad!
Cool! How exciting!!!!
I want one too... OMG that's got my gears turning. Thanks for sharing this.
Haha it’s a pretty neat machine!
how many hrs do you have on the kubota? love to see a update review based on its current hrs.
Just shy of 600 hours. It’s been a fantastic machine. No issues at all.
Good morning Jake , nice addition to your wood yard!
Thanks 👍
Id say that is going to work great for yall. Nice that its aluminum, light weight and weather resistant. Iv had a little better luck with my farm conveyor that you all luckly, however if I start running into alot of trouble I would for sure check into a Link It. Take Care Jake have fun splitting!!!
Glad you’re having better luck with your elevator than we have had! This new LINKIT might just be the ticket! Very impressed so far
He said it is stainless steel, but I think not
It is aluminum! I corrected myself with a subtitle!
@@daveschooley8514 that's correct. Being aluminum makes it weather resistant. Rust Free.
Hey Jake, that is a sweet conveyer, light and quiet. I can see two conveyers and two trailers in your future. Talk to ya later, Kenny
It’s pretty nice! Stay tuned for the next video!
Very cool! Sarah told me all about this on the phone and had to watch the video - great content!
Haha she told me, thanks for watching Hannah!
Interesting Jake.... can't wait to see it in woodhound conditions... You gotta get the release point higher somehow...but it sure looks rugged.... Let me tell ya... if it's built to move concrete, pavers and shingles???? Those guys can Fk up ANYTHING!!!! they're rough on everything they touch.
Haha int that the truth!! It’s built pretty tough!
Lol
Awesome conveyor Jake! Thanks for sharing👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Nice addition for sure.
Thanks Heath, you might have to add one to the HWM fleet… looks like you could’ve used one in your last video!
Very cool congrats! Can't wait to see how it works out for ya.
So far so good!
Nice conveyor, that is really Cool. Happy for you!!
Thank you Michael!
It would be really easy to fab up some swing down telescopeing support arms
Congratulations Jake, this is what you have needed. Like someone else said, just fabricate extensions for the stand to gain more height at the head drum. For your safety I would only use the stand at the top one-third of the conveyor. If you were conveying heavy wood with nothing behind it, I can see it getting light at the bottom.
Would be nice if they just gave it to you…🤣.
Thank Doug, hopefully I get to keep it a while!
Damn good review, thing is almost human proof!
Look forward to seeing how it works in production.
It works well, stay tuned for the next video!
That is a really nice piece of kit.
Thanks!
The conveyor is sweet bet you already have a new stand in the works. Definitely the weak link. Great addition to your woodyard.
A stand with wheels would be a good idea too.
Great video, maybe you and Chris can fabricate and weld some modifications? If they let you of course, but if they want the firewood market they will need to make some changes anyway. On the job engineering, plus some of your viewer input might be helpful.
The quiet is a big plus!!
For now we have to leave it stock but they are well aware that the “stand” needs changing for the firewood market. Pretty simple fix in the grand scheme of things!
VERY nice.
Thanks Alan!
Awesome bit of kit 👌👍
Thanks 👍
That looks pretty sweet Jake. Too bad they didn’t come along before you had the old elevator fixed!😂
Haha right? Glad to have it now!
I want one!
Go check out their website! 20% off using my code!!
Sweet! will do man
Looks like it will do the job!
I think so!
If you get another 1 you can used it to take the wood waste away from under the grizzly bars and a 3 for putting rounds on to bring to wood splitter and stop the belt as you advance it to next wood round to split. The idea's you can come up with to make the job easier to do. Have a great day be safe.
Haha we have talked about that exact set up!
@@DudeRanchDIY I also make ballast products for model trains and a convoyer system like this is something I been thinking about for a long time now. Once I get on my 6 acres I plan on building a shop to make my ballast products in.
I think you could hook your electric elevator to the roof of your shanty. That would allow you to move the trailer in or out without moving the elevator
Maybe as easy as a ratchet strap through the skid fork hole to the roof
Lol you sir have hit the nail directly on the head!! Stay tuned for the next video 👍🏼👌🏼
That is nice. You could build wooden legs to make it more solid
Sure could! Thanks for watching Tim!
Can't wait to see how this works for you.
Stay tuned for the next video!
So how do they cost, even there web page doesn't say.?
The 20’ one shown here is 12k and change. With my 20% off code you are around 10k!
The electric Conveyor is the best thing you have Purchased, At least you don’t have to put up with chains,
So far so good! Stay tuned for the next video to see it with the splitter in action!
I sure wish they would put there prices on there website
Around 12k, with the dude ranch 20% off promo code it’s just under 10k
@@DudeRanchDIY thanks for the reply I can't wait to see how it works out of you
What model is the one you are using? Their website doesn’t show a 20’ version that I noticed. They also don’t show any pricing information on their site. That’s disappointing.
Lks400 the model as shown in this video is 12k, with 20% off promo code you are under 10k! Stay tuned for the next video to see it in action with the splitter!
interquip.us/conveyors/linkit-conveyors/lks400-series/
Jake that looks like a cool tool & I hope it works out great for you ! Personally I think if it was $5000 or less they would sell like hot cakes but for the $ I think I would buy a regular firewood conveyor that is ready to go. Now if you had multiple uses for the linkit maybe that would be a better option.
You can buy 3 log conveyer ready to go for what they want for 1
Hey Jake like your videos I would like to know how much the conveyor would cost.
Hey Doug, thanks for watching! Around 12k, with the dude ranch 20% off promo code it’s just under 10k. Check the video description for contact info!
I wish you would have included Chris on the unveiling of the conveyor
He wasn’t around! 🤷🏼♂️
Like it, very cool. Now if you had an electric motor on the splitter your neighbors wouldn't even know you were working in the wood yard.
That’s exactly what Chris said!
Don’t remember if your stand is pinned so you can take your cross piece and insert it through the forklift slots to stabilize it in 2 different heights. Maybe that will help adjusting it up and down along with adjusting your stand itself up and down. It’s a possibility
If I’m understanding you correctly I don’t think I can do that. The stand is adjustable up and down but I wouldn’t be able to get the cross piece through the fork holes as it is welded to the vertical legs.
Jake maybe 🤔 the big green bean is gotta go somewhere else ❤😳and wait till Chris comes over and sees it
Chris is a fan of it so far!
Sweet. Have seen very similar at fertilizer plant. Idk about the plugs though. Belts really the only way to go. But we need to see if all the fighting, swearing, and bleeding got the old one going good. It's so sad that fewer and fewer places print instructions anymore
Used the green bean today and it threw the chains twice within a hour 😂
@@DudeRanchDIY UGGHHH. Any luck w the sprocket?
@@brandonhoad9033 I looked at the one you emailed me, holding off for now. We will see what the future holds 😎
Hang the upper end off of the roof of your building with some cables, chains or even rigid with some tubing or angle iron, build a stand to raise the lower end up 18" or so. This will give you plenty of clearance for the trailer and eliminate a stand in the front that's just going to get in the way. It will also lessen the angle needed and you'll be able to center the conveyor over the middle of the trailer.
If they're serious about getting into the firwood market they're gonna design a new stand anyway. Probably something like a farming grain auger with wheels in the middle so it's easy to move with a tractor or side by side.
You’ll see what we came up with in the next video as a quick simple fix, not too far off from what you’re suggesting!
Was not expecting that price. Anywhere from 10-12000 for 1. How much are other conveyors?
Eastonmade 16’ is $10,200 and 24’ is $13,000 without shipping. Wolfe Ridge 16’ is $7,500 and 24’ is $9,000 without shipping.
@@DudeRanchDIY thanks for the reply. I had no idea conveyors were that expensive.
Went to sight no pricing how much is one like yours
Around 12k, with the dude ranch 20% off promo code it’s just under 10k
Could you be able to run the conveyor though the back the trailer and see how far you can get under the conveyor
Possibly, but my whole splitter set up would have to be rearranged to allow for the trailer to be positioned that way.
How much does it cost
Around 10k give a call for a quote
I am sure that charging your power station will be cheaper than filling the tank of the motor for your other conveyor.
Absolutely!
24’ version is what I’d love to have.
They do offer a 24’ version of a different model! Check them out on their website!
@@DudeRanchDIY
I did.
Shipping is $820
Conveyor is $11,200.
Bit more than I care to afford as I’m building a 16’x32’ cabin and a 20’x30’ garage at the farmstead in the next 18 months too.
How much dude
What they cost
12k
@@DudeRanchDIY decentttt
@@DudeRanchDIY oh 12k!! Trippinnn
$14,000 that's alot
The 20’ conveyor is $12,000, with the 20% off promo code the conveyor is less than $10,000.
That ls cool if it can really work! 👏🚜🪵👍🏼
It works quite well! Stay tuned for the next video!!!
